I amassed a pretty good amount of models now and made a list all thats left is converting shapers and Master Shaper pending on the wargear/weapons I get em

I Know I went a tad over board on the Master but I couldn't help my self with the tasty powers

Chameleonic is great so I don't think I'll drop it...its what keeps em living +1 cover saves invaluable for kroot with wafer thin armor

I thought only the Master shaper can have a Kroothawk totem.
Curse my crappy memory...to the PDF!!

A tad overboard on the master Shaper is a bit of an understatement...

A kroothawk totem? Any of your shapers can have it, but like he said, max of one per army!

I like the list, fairly well rounded and a lot of models, I will have to post my Kroot army up some time! I have a ton of vultures! (I run 2 squads of 20!)

Have you ever looked at running the squad of 20 kroot and 20 hounds? I have ran it a couple of times and it is wicked fast and will annihilate anything on the charge!

Interesting start, but here are some suggestions:

Your adaptation: The camo scales. You might want to re read this one, it doesn't add +1 to your cover save, it only gives you a constant cover save of 6+. Defintely not worth it. I would go with the +1 int. one so you can go toe to toe with marine squads.

Master Shaper:

There is no reason to give him psychic powers, they are nice, but only if you are allowed to use them! most people will say no, and that saves you about 40 points so lets drop that. Another thing to keep in mind is that kroot need anti-skimmer protection, so giving him a melta-gun wouldn't be a bad idea. Finally, he seems kinda lonely, I would give him wings personally, but that is up to you.

Troop Squads:

Having large blocks of infantry is fine, but one of the main strengths of this army is the amount of models and how many evicerators can you fit in, so how can you get more models and evicerators? Break these squads down to 10 and move two of the squads to the fast attack slot and throw in hmm lets see, 20 hounds in each squad. Then give the squad fleet of foot and now you have a squad that can potentially pull off a first turn charge assuming you upgrade them right. Two of them is down right nasty. I would avoid power weapons and just stick with evicerators, since they tear up everything!

BTW, why splinter pistols? just give them sluggas, higher strength and it matches the stats of the rifle, just in pistol form!

Fast:

Vultures are looking good, but you really need hounds, since they are dirt cheap and a pain in the arse since they have the same stats as regular kroot.

Your vultures should have blood of the stalker so they can pull off a first turn charge, since that is extremely important! I can't stress that enough!

Heavy:

Krootox herd...they are over priced and terrible at what they do. Drop them for more kroot.

Hunters, hands down the cheapest most effective sniper unit in the game. Priceless! However, why in the world did you give them the totem?

So I hope these suggestions help, and if you have anymore questions, feel free to ask and who knows, I might post my tourny proven list of massed destruction!
