| well one thing i like about tau is you can have a "fluffy" army that is still strong enough to stand up to power gamers the models are great (i still love a standard marine more) you have a great range to choose from from crisis suits to the standard trooper they have great lines to paint they are not too customizable but you have "anime" instipred robots ive even seen a few veritech inspired crisis suit conversions they play great you can have a static gun line or you can go fully mechanized (my preference) hope this helps a little

| Might add a few Pathfinders in the mix as well, with their fishies, i wouldn't go for elites, but i would have a retinue for the mandatory commander |

Lone deepstriking crisis suits can be a real headache if used right. Even if they die they'll still use up one squads full firepower. | |

| i like to deep strike my crisis suits with fusion blasters or my stealth suit squad they make a real good distraction and can take out some key units

| Sergeant ![]() ![]() | I too have thought of Tau; but they seem overly tactical? I mean, can you play Tau without being a great tactician? Are they one fo those armys that need alway have the right play made or can they adjust? ((Off topic, TonyzCustomz is 'L' !!! ))

| well they are very tactical (right place/right time) but can adjust if you make some mistake you have to maintain a certain range (out of assualt) miscalculating range can be a fatal flaw the main problem is if you lose your big guns there arent any squad heavy weapons that can bail you out so you have to be very careful with your heavy weaponry

Blog Entries: 3 | tau are semi forgiving, it depends on who you are against. If you are against an assault army, if you slip up, then you pretty much lost. Remember - close combat is your worse enemy, when you manevuer, you dont always hve to go close to your enemy. Tau are pretty tactical, especially now in 5th edition, its a bit harder to power play. but its fun~

| Confused and Enraged ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | If you get a lucky turn 1 and 2 you're pretty much sorted. There's not much you can do to screw up when you're opponent's lost all of his transports and has to foot slog his assaulty chaos marines across the field while you run rings around him. Allowing your hammerheads to die before they kill at least twice their own value is a big no-no. That's why piranhas are there...to provide a nice little distraction. ![]() |
