Default 750pt's of GENESTEALERS

HQ
Broodlord with extended caprice
5x Genestealer routine with extended caprice = 180

T
6x Genestealer with extended caprice and scuttling = 138

6x Genestealer with extended caprice and scuttling = 138

6x Genestealer with extended caprice and scuttling = 138

6x Genestealer with extended caprice and scuttling = 138

= 732

Only thing is I don't know what to do with the last 18pts I could give flesh hooks to 3 units or I could give one unit toxic sacs.

YIKES talk about viciousness and the fear of getting ripped in close combat! Hmm as for what to get.... maybe toxin sacs? to provide one hard hitting group? Or go fleshhooks if you can be sneaky around terrain

I’m thinking about running this list at the next conflict I go too (up my current winnings at tournaments to 2 out of 2).

Default change thread to 750 points of Genestealers

one more in your retinue


k, I have this army,
Back in the old codex with Seeding Swarm, you could field 6 troop units, give 3 troop units without number which made them Heavy and 3 unit gained Ferocious (+1S, +1I, Deepstrike into assault...) and they became fast attack
12 units of Genesteelers 144 of them total

works great!
ONE TRICK PONY!!!
I was banned from playing them at the local shops cause I couldn't loose even when I tried unless, and the real weakness to this list, MONOLITHS

I only have 18pts a genestealer with extended caprice costs 20pts and I hate going over in points

what about elite you have fast, heavy and troops but what about elite

like I said this was with the old codex so...
there was no Genestealer Elite or HQ, what I would do was field simple "Mutable" warriors (all most as cheap as I could make them so I could bring more Stealers)
with an army like that you don't need anything more so it was irrelevent

18 pts.....

K, well then.... Toxin Sacks on your Retinue, against T4 you will be wounding on 3's instead of 4 and that can make a huge diff, against T3 you are wounding on 2's!!!

2/3 of your attacks hit (on the assault that is 10 with 2 being rending)
Vs T4 that is about 5 wounds (+2 for rending =7)
Vs T3 that is rounds out to 7 (+2 for rending=9)
+ your Broodlord!

A friend of mine and myself still use the old genestealer cult rules every now and then-its great for a giggle,makes for a great city fight and lets you field loads of genestealers!

True but with flesh hooks I can go over impassable terrain so I can chow down faster.

The other thing that makes me hesitate with toxic sacs is that it puts too many points in one place.

Looks like I’ll be trying out both.

I unfortunately only just found out about Warhammer about a year ago so I don't have a clue what Genestealer cult looks like.

Thanks the only thing I’m really worried about is mobile shooty armies like Tau which is actually my other army.
