|  could 3 carnifex's take down a warhound yes that's right what is the forum opinion of three fairly duked out carnifex's taking down that big nasty warhound that everbody is so proud of. |

| normally i would take the warhound but these are strength 10 monstrous creatures. 5 wounds. 2+ save. tougness 7. hell my assault carnifex costs 270 pts but has up to 9 attacks. what does a mega bolter's stats look like? heavy15 str6 ap3. the fex could just shrug it off. as for assault combat with a titan i'm not to sure how that works. |

Blog Entries: 4 | Hmm... It all depends. On average rolling, and the fact that it's Apoc, then depending on how you set up... I don't have a clue! The thing is, the mega bolters have pretty much the range of a basiliks IIRC. If you set up the LENGTH of, say, a 8x4 table with a huge spaec down th middle, those 3 carnixes along with a good chunk of the rest of the nids wont make it! set up diagonally with the 12 (or was it 18? dont ahve book on hand) inch space in between however, and clever use of cover, they'll pretty much get in unscathed. Here's a Nid vs Guard horror story for you: swarm + fex list vs normal guards + 2 warhounds with twin vulcans each. Nids won, but there was that one carnifex WITHOUT (i dont know why) extended carapace that got hit by both warhounds... 60x S7 AP3 shots tend not to be a good thing I'll say that
