Well guys, let me introduce you to myyyyyy WINGED HIVE TYRANT!!

I used Balrog Wings on him. They're bigger than he is! I love him to death. Here's his back also.

Sorry for the bad quality on the back. My camera blurs if it's close. I messed around with it and can't seem to fix it. Anywho, I wanna make them look a bit more natural. I'm not quite sure how to do this. I have green stuff, but I am not sure what the best way to make it look natural is. I was thinking about making limbs coming out from the back onto it. Tell me what you think, and how you like the look of him so far.

Hate to break it to ya, but you cant use balarog wings in 40k turnys soon.....due to lotr issues....so you will have to change the wings or just not use him for official events.

Where's your source on this?

We had a discussion on this.. If you're going to make such authoritative, end all statements, you need sources. I am preeetty sure GW woulda announced such a change...

i was hearing it from staff, but its not 100% but if it happens it screws alot of nid players over, due to the wings being really bad ass.

There was a debunked rumor a while back GW had wormed outta the LotR contract, maybe this is what spurred your staffers comments?

When you say larger do you mean a bigger resolution? Cause that I know how to do. Clearer well... in my first post up there I said that I'm not sure how to fix that. I tried everything that seemed like it would make a difference.

About the lotr tourney stupid thing. All I heard about it was in the topic "Hive Tyrant Assembly Question" in this section(tyranids). I don't really know how they would enforce it. When I looked on GW's website the only wings I could buy that were big enough were these ones. I know, I could have bought a whole high elf dragon or something, but at the time I didn't have the money. Oh well, I'd only do rogue trader tournies anyway since there are no GW hobby centers less than 3 hours away from here.

I wouldnt worry about it regardless.. those wings WERE made by GW and therefore are part of their IP.. its not like youre using bits made from another company, so even if GW discontinues LOTR, you wouldnt be breaking any kinda copy right rules and so your peice would still be tourny legal
