| As it is my first post i want to say hello to all forum users ![]() im both wh battle and 40k player, but i need some changes. as i collect vampire counts and a new minis were released recently i'm happy with them. but im quite bored about my 40k armies. i have both eldar and witch hunters, but after playing 2 battles with witch hunters i got instantly bored, and i play eldar for sooo long. Recently i got excited about forge world slaanesh demon but apart from it the rest of the army (im speaking about the look of the minis) look rather boring. And than i saw FW malanthrope and my jaw felt down. So i looked at nids figures and its sad but i hate those gaunts. so here's my question. do u think that army built around large creatures would work? ie 2 tyrants carnifexes lictors etc (cause i like those). as im at work and have no codex, but could that venom upgrades be a good ones? im rather good painter and venom sacks etc would look so good ![]() |

| i like nidzilla lists, they are sorta one sided on the fact that if you opponent singles out one target at a time by turn 6 you may not have anything left to battle with. but you did get to field 8 monstrous creatures ![]() ![]() ![]()

| well i was thinking about a 'lighter' version of this army (i want to include some lictors as i love the models). in general i think that's a good army for meh, after playing forces which consist mostly of 'standard' sized troops, and it looks that playing with it could include the fun factor, and that's always good ![]() |

| Corporal ![]() | See my 'Nid tactica part2 (in my signature) for advice on Lictors. What you want is a hybrid list. An even mix of TMCs (about 4 or 5) and the rest normal infantry. Pack in Genestealers and Ravenors if you can... they're beastly, both metaphorically and literally! In a day or so my final section of 'Nid tactica, Heavy Support and General army tactics will go into greater detail on Nidzilla, Hybrid and Swarm lists. So if you hold off for a very short while you can read it. |

| ive read both tactics and they're great ![]() ill use Ravener's, as that red terror figure just cries for converting ![]() i wonder if some1 knows what are that malanthropes capable of (i mean stats and piont cost) cause the model is just fantastic (ill use it as Zoanthrope if i wont be able to fit him as malanthrope ) |

| Doesn't he have rules in the imperial armor books on FW's website or in the apoc books? Sorry, if it's dumb to ask about it in the apoc books. I dont really have any idea what's in them other than rules for BIG battles.

| Corporal ![]() | No, the 'real' rules are in ImpArmour 4 But you're allowed modified versions of stuff in Apoc... and it looks like it's just all made up to me (Yea, I don't play Apoc. Sue me)

| Corporal ![]() | Since always. Steve... have you got the Rule book? ![]() Sorry Steve... but really, you didn't know that you can have 3 elites in a standard match up? Nanolathe means absolutely no offence with this post. He just finds it funny that a Vet like Steve would forget standard force organisation.

| Rofl! but i suggest against nidzilla.......run genestealers they arnt gaunts and the rending is lots of fun! Genestealers\Brood Lord\Lictors\Warriors with rending claws\Ravaners\Tyrant Gaurds! will be your friends since all of them can rend and give your opponent a nice quick funny death ![]() |

| Well i can give you a nidzilla opinion in my eyes...... There biggest weakness is anything that ignores saves if your vs anything with pen 2 your basically dead unless you take it out QUICKLY, due to your lack of over all models. but on the upside you one hit ko in close combat vs troops =D. How ever the upside to mc's are that they can target anyone they want with out having to make checks of any sort, roll 3d6 for terrain and THEY CAN REROLL IT!(i love that part), Not to mention the Fun of seeing some one's face when a carnifex blasts them apart. *cough* anyhow....compared to a swarm army *this is just in my eyes* nidzilla is not as fun since you don't have a swarm of genestealers running at your opponent and you don't get the Pure Joy of watching them go "Oh Crap" When you get into close combat! but thats just my two cents... |
