with only 50 or so models
this list is weak
where it is strong
it is real strong
but where is the swarm factor?
on a low point battle you have the unique opportunity to outnumber your enemy greatly
but with all the gear you have on a few pieces
a marine player could ALMOST match you in numbers if not out number you
(tactical squad 10 marines w/ heavy bolter & flamer= 161pts)
and that is bad news when marines are matched up with a SWARM army

with the devilfex's 8 shots and the tyrants 3 large blast shots im pretty sure that wont be a problem.

i disagree
let me explain my oppinion
tyranids are not meant to outshoot an enemy
every army in 40k can out shoot a shooty tyranid army
the ranged weapons are meant to do some damage while you close in
a nid army can't live sitting back and shooting
it will get shredded
ive played many nid armies and the unsuccesful ones tried to sit and shoot
and died because they didnt swarm
thats like getting tau to assault
you should try to go with the oreintation of the army
and nids clearly need to swarm and assault
just my take on it

who said i was going to sit back tho? the rest of my army is more then fine rushing in to deal with enemy well they have cover fire from the tyrant and devilfex

My comments are similar, but here is some take:

Seems you are going between a fast swarm or Nidzilla, however this list is confused on which to maximize on.

Genestealers are cool, but 23 points a piece makes them inefficient. Heavy Bolters will make them like paper with no saves.

Hormagaunts are overpriced in my opinion. I would take 2 Spine-fist gaunts over a hormogaunt. Your army is not designed for the fast all out in kill. Yes - Hormos can tie up, but I see nothing that can deliver the blow. 24 genestealers won't either. That is my oppinion.

Your Gun fex'es are great gunning support, however not enough to provide the hammering kill.

I don't know who your opponents are, or how they play either, so take my comments as much as they pertain to you. But, I could make - easily a 1.5k list that is NOT tooled up against this army, and still wipe it. I could expect usual enemies to counter this list.

bahh. the gear is awesome, as long as he utilizes cover with the gene's or maybe gaunts then he'll get there. and whatever is there will die. i hate unmod'ed nids they were created for biomorphs not for 10pt hormagaunts. like the list.

Thanks lol, but this is temporary the list will be better once i get 3 ravagers and lictors. (i dont care what anyone says LICTORS OWN!)

i agree the gear is awesome
but putting too much gear on a few models
can kill the over all effeciancy of the army
a regular tourney marine or guard army
( with average # of Hbolters and flamers)
will kill this army at range and just chew it up faster the closer it gets
in other words
it needs more meat and less seasoning

nope scuttle is 3 points.
