| What do you do about anti nid lists that aren't in urban-like enviroments that have lots of sight blockage? Go to my battle against wordbearers if you wanna see an example(it's in my sig). Basicly, it's a lot of templates with a few heavy weapons to cause pain to your big monsters. If you can work with my current list/do a few tweaks to it that would be awesome. My list is in the battle in my sig. Thanks for any help guys. Oh, and if my post for some reason or other seems a little incoherent for some reason I dont know atm. It's been a long day and I'm very tired.

| sadly chaos your list seems very balanced all around. i ran a swarm nid army for a few years and the trick is to live with the losses you will get in combat. my list in the battle was designed to be an all around functional list that i can you is real battles on the table. a real anti-nids list would be a imp guard army tooled to the extreme with autoguns and mortars. the firing line would be insane. but the way your list is set up you make your opponent choose between all the great targets you give him. nobody can kill 100+ nids in one turn. the carnifexs are big and nasty, both dangerous shooting and in cc. the flytyrant will shred whatever it flys into as well. and the brood lord is a sneaky bastard period. hormagaunts and genestealers are both a threat, and you have tooled out your troop choices with nothing but. the only problem i see in are battle is the fact that i'm gonna make you charge me in cover. and without flesh hooks i go first. can a 16 squad of hormagaunts survive a turn of shooting then a round of combat before they get to lay there claws in. basically i wouldn't change a thing in your list. i like it. its a very functional list against any army.

| Awesome! I didn't realize my list was really good against any army. I kinda went for a bit of anti marine. Basicly, the reason I was doubting is that yea everyone is voting on me, but if there wasn't so much sight blockage I'd be losing. Anywho, thanks for the vote of confidence man.

Blog Entries: 3 | Are hormogaunts really a justifiable cost and effective? I mean, everytime i think of them, I just think of boogers that jump fast and unleash weak str 3 attacks and get smacked up back in close combat.

8 of them will rip up 5 space marines easily from my experience... so 16 should be able to kill a squad of space marines easily. Considering that most space marine squads are a bare minium, they'll easily make their points back in combat.

| Plus the enemy probably wont be shooting for a few turns if they're stuck up with 16 hormagaunts. Or at least long enough for the genes to get stuck in. EDIT: I've remembered a question I wanted to ask. Does the hormagaunt's leaping biomorph stack with the charge bonus from it being a beast? Aka, can it charge 18 inches?

| a hormagaunt can move 6 inches, fleet d6 inches, and charge 12 inches. i was thinking that maybe if you dropped one of the carnifexs you could give your tyrant a warp field, got to have that 2/5+. also some of the gaunt squads could use flesh hooks or toxin sacs just to give them an edge. otherwise i like the swarmy hand to hand army you have.

| ya your list is well rounded. i normally avoid the broodlord but that's just because my normal opponent enjoys using the master o the ravenwing in a land speeder (god i hate assault cannons). also a good trick is to take your lictor models (if ya have any) with you to the game and just set them on the corner of the table or a shelf somewhere in plain sight even if your not using them. makes the other guy nervous |
