Things to do List

Well, as our lord and master Ikarus has given us the tasks of creating an encyclopedia of 40K knowlage, we better get started. So, this thread is made to create a list of articles that need to be created, and distribute the jobs between the team. I think this is the best way of organising this big task.

First, we need to create a list of the main articles that need to be included within the Librarium. I have already done the Space marine, necron and Imperial Guard overall information.

So articles we need to create:

1. Inquisition
2. Grey Knights
3. Sisters of Battle
4. Chaos
5. The Horus Heresy
6. Eldar
7. Orks
8. Dark Eldar
9. List of Space Marine Chapters
10. Tyranids
11. Tau Empire
12. Weaopns of the Imperium

i'll plump for the darker secrets of the inquisition and the horror's of chaos! (as i'm already tainted...)

Yea, well its just a starting point. Its just a selection of articles, which we can build more articles around. just post here what the title of the article you have done, and ill add/tick the one on the list.

Firstly, as there is a dedicated forum to the issue, i think we might aswell make a thread per article, or something like that.

and fearlessgod, it does not matter if its on the list, just do the details anyway, and then post them. The list is only for ideas.

Also a quick Legal thingy:

You can't copy word for word from a codex or other Games Workshop publication, as this is interlectual property of Games workshop (see here).

This includes listing of rules etc.

Just warning you, else GW will be on this site quicker than an Inquisitor on a heretic.

well since 626 is delving into the darker side of the Inquisition i shall take on the Grey Knights, Sisters of Battle, the Puritans (both factions) and the weaponry of the Imperium. Ive already laid down an article about the Grey Knights

all right, i'll stick to just the filthy, dirty radical side of things then!

and don't forget about the ordo xenos too! again, i'll cover the the radical side of things, but we need some goody-two-shoes to cover the do-gooder side!!!

lol, i have already done the basic imperial guard. Look at it and alter it to what you want. Also, could you make some articles on the different regiments of the IG?

Im sure non of the articles need to be as long as the SM and IG ones I have made. Even only a paragraph to start with is good, because we can always edit it later and improve on it.

I wonder however does the Ordo Xenos have the same kind of faction ailments that effects the Ordo Malleus and maybe the Ordo Herectus?

certainly it does! a puritan as always might frown upon those with psychic powers, or else who make use of xenos technology...
most likely a puritan will not hesitate to wipe out entire popultions to stop the spred of the xenos influence!
the puritan will also have no second thoughts about killing *any* alien, even if say the imperial and xeno forces have a common purpose to fight for!

the radical on the other hand, finds a true irony in using alien weapons against his enemies, or else might even go far as to keep a xenos scout handy for their skills!
they might even learn how to control xenos psychic powers... (for example, a radical would be eager to learn how to scry the future from a willing farseer!)

it's only really the ordo hereticus that has the very grey area between puritan and radical, as it is a very theological difference more than anything...

i already knew of the radicals and puritans and their fighting styles and such i was just curious if these 2 factions extended to all 3 branches however you have just answered that question so thanks. however since i have not read the ordo hereticus codex all the way through is there anything akin to the grey knights for puritans and daemonhost for the radical with in the Ordo Herectus codex

sadly no - the ordo hereticus by it's very nature is more opinionated than anything else... one man's puritan is another man's radical!
(for example, a puritan witch hunter might delcare another inquisitor a radical simply for fostering psychic potential!)
basically, the thing to keep in mind is that the definition of puritan & radical in the ordo hereticus is very circular... the more fanatical the belief, the more it comes to mirrior it's oposite theology!

another point, the different beliefs within the various ordos! (it's why i love the inquisition - so bloody conflicted at all ends!)
off the top of my head, the different theologies are;
puritans:
- monodominants
- thorians
- amaltheans

radicals:
- istvaanians
- chaoticians
- horusians (they want to bring back horus... brillient eh?!!)

if you have any the white dwarf issues from around the time of the inquisitor game, you'll find all the info you need there!

I'm up for doing Eldar or Tau, or both. I have both 'dexs, and love the background they have....especially the conspiracy theories for the Tau. The War in Heaven is great to write about for the Eldar too.
