April Issue

[Celestial Guardian]

Starting in April Liber Imperialis is going to have a facelift to accomdate our forums. We will make some simple changes such as using the current logo and some of the design features to mock the site a little.

This revamp of format will include a some new titled sections for current artilces as well as couple of new things.

New Format Titles:
Liber Imperialis: Featured Imperial Army (member armies with wrtie ups on history and such, Index Astartes Style, template iwll be provided)
Liber Choatica: Featured Chaos Army (member armies with wrtie ups on history and such, Index Astartes Style, template iwll be provided)
Liber Xenos: Featured Xenos Army (member armies with wrtie ups on history and such, Index Astartes Style, template iwll be provided)
Novus Doctrina: Articles on using the codices properly, power gaming, fluff gaming, tactical formations, etc.
Template Construction: Modeling, painting, and conversion articles
Humor: Jokes and comics to fill one page
The Inquisition: Inquisitor articles
Pugna Velox: Battlefleet Gothic articles
Theatre of War: Campaigns, battle reports
Recenseo: Product Reviews
Events: Listing of the coming tourneys, games days, etc, before the next issue (cover the whole globe if we can, all our readers are not in one country)
Terra Librarium: Featured short stories from members (one per issue)
Imperator Articles: All articles not covered by a category such as a letters column, Two Gamers (vs. article by members with opinions on a subject), etc.

I think this would allow us our own look and customization while still allowing us to conform to the 40K universe.

All articles, art work, and pics will need to have the name of the submitor and the name of the source if obatianed from someone else. To ensure that we are not using copyrighted material or things that are not ours I will be keeping trakc of who submitted what and contact the orignaotr of the article/artwork if is not the person who sent the article to me. Any submitted material from a person other than the submitor that cannot be confrimed with the orignal source will not be used. These must be accurate for the legal/credits page. Just something to protect us all.

The cover will take the form of a featured article or current theme running in the mag/hobby. Covers will reflect content versus just being a cool picture. I will be in touch with artists for this as well as 40K Terra ads.

40K Terra advertisement for the site will be included in each issue to allow the site more coverage by featuring our site and it's different boards,games, etc. I have something specific in mind. I'll be intouch with you soon steve...

Artists: I need a page topper that will allow the section titles to be added as well as one for a normal page. I want to use our logo in this. We can go several ways such as using the whole logo on the outside of the pages (left and right when printed), or combining in the center folds (when printed) to form the logo. Once the log sectionis in place I would like a banner type across the top of the page, thick with open space for titles (done in a left and right page) and thin with the same design for normal pages (also done in left and right page format).

hmm, maybe an article written by the contest winners about what they did, how they did it ? ie a cleaned up version of their WIP blogs. just a thought :] lookin forward to seeing what comes up !

I would also like to invert the arrow edge on the bottom of the page so that it faces upward. This arrow will be where page numbers will be put onto the page.

Erus, could you get a copy of the approved Terran Space Marine colors to you artist and have him draw out a marine or two in a battle scene for this issue? I would like to use it to jump start the Liber Articles as this will be the first Imperial group we look at.

Hey Celest, I will be writing up a few pages on the new 5th edition rumors and such and provide my views.
