the artwork featured in the 40k Terra ad on page 35 is uncredited on the legal page - its was created by a freelance artist whoes name escapes me as a series of commissions for Sabretooth Collectable Card Games.

this needs to be added to the legal page!!

Steve, can you get me thename of the artist for the artork you used? I can redo the legal page and resubmit it to Cag as a replacement.

Message to all using artwork:
If the art does not belong to you it needs to be credited to who actually did the work. Otherwise theese are credited to you and in cses can land you in court. We do not want to see this happen. Please submit the artists' names along with your own for correct credits on the legal page of the mag.

Serious question:

On what legal grounds do the publishers of Lib Imp make use of GW and other artwork? Are you not in flagrant breach of copyright, reproducing material in this way?

I'd be delighted to be told otherwise, because I'm art editor for Dark Magenta and, frankly, we rely on donations and freebies from fan artists or in-house work. If I was allowed to rape and pillage freely from the GW art collection it would make my life a lot easier.

In a follow up, to Heroka's point about the INQ article, I can only agree. The author will be getting an email from me in due course, inviting him to learn the true path of Inquisitor at the Conclave.

I'll handle this one since it was my mistake.

As pointed out this is GW artwork, but as i was searching for "Fan Art, the site i found it on, credited it to a 'ukitakumuki as fan art and so i went with that. however as Herkona pointed out it is Copyright GW. I know that now.

1. it was a mistake.
2. all further submissions will be as you say, In house or have obtained written permission to publish.
3. we all make mistakes. and as such we were not intentionall ripping off GW. in all cases, no harm was intended.

Thank you for pointing this out again, but I am already in the process of removing the material and reformatting the download. It takes a little time on my part as I put in 10-12 hours a day at work.

I noticed you said that you are with Dark Magenta. That's the Inquisitor mag at Warseer right? I've been trying for two weekd to download that and it keeps saying that things are being moved or I get a 404 Error. Anyway you could help me out with getting a copy?

Differing opinions is fine. I am warning both you AND Heroka to not persue your little vendetta against the article off the forums. That will not be tolerated, and yes I will go so far to say as you WILL be banned. Disagree with it? Fine. Write your own article and behave like your not so nuts-just-dropped 12 year old. Got it? Bad way to start off your career here by attacking dedicated posters and magazine writers.

Heroka, you've been warned before. I am also telling you now, if your next move so much as even looks like it breaks the rules, your gone. Also, that staff application? No dice. On a side note, when you notice something like this please pm me so that I can take care of the issue. I do not have the time or resources to guarantee that someone did not submit their own work, so your help in the matter is very appreciated. Just drop a pm saying some thing to the effect of:

Noticed page X was not credited to the proper source. The original belongs to (insert name here) who can be contacted by (insert contact info). Then leave your information.

Those who do this to help out will get rep from me. I believe that if we work TOGETHER and stop attacking each other we'll go far. It takes a team to get things going, and we are just now getting that team together. If you guys would like to assist, by all means you are very welcome to. I would like this to be a good experience for everyone involved from the writers to the readers and all those in between. For those that have helped, thank you for your support and you have not gone unnoticed.
