Blog Entries: 1  |  Color Schemes Well with Lacrosse season winding down I finally have time to start painted the Kroot mercs I have collected but then I realized that kroot come in any color they want for they can change their pigment at will...so this got me thinking about how I wanted to paint them but so far no good ideas about it  I have about 6 boxes of carnivores, a ton of bitz from all kinds of stuff for converting and the kroot mercenaries accessories boxes...for vultures I have some wings I like and my hunter kindred I'll just cut the blades off kroot rifles and put on some scopes I have and put the kroot in more prone positions and my Master Shaper will be built off The games day shaper ...A few of my shapers will be the models that come in the box but since I don't like them much and for diversity I'll trick out a few standard kroot...ah yes I got some priests for eviscerators also

 |  Sounds cool, mabey for the colour scheme you could do something like camo so that they can blend in with the trees, by using browns and greens it could look good. I hoped that helped

| Use a dusty brown as a base colour and vary different shades of green throughout the army so you've got a unifying colour but they dont look too regimented. Also the different shades of green would be suitable for different terrain types (except snow obviously). e.g Dark Angels Green + Chaos Black= Urban Snot Green= Woods/Jungle Bright/Yellowish green= Desert Catachan Green= Ash Wastes etc |

Blog Entries: 1 | Cool but just so you guys know I have no concern for the camo value of thier color just what looks good Also I was thinking warpaint of a contrasting color to their skin...maybe in different patterns and shape for different kindreds but same color through out

| With warpaint whites or reds would go well on green skin. Since kroot could be painted any color as you said I'd do them in a color I'd enjoy painting. Any color is good even bright ones, just mute them. My Ogre Kingdom army the ogres really are any color, doin them as Oni so i have red, blue, green, and yellow. Just have to keep the bright colors muted so that they can still fit into the gritty nature of the game. 'Cause kroot do stink bad they can't be looking like a new sports car. Also Woo lacrosse!
