Default First FW squad and Crisis Suit

Here's the beginning of my Tau army from the Del'shry'deva sept(of my creation). The only other models I've painted before these were the Battle for Macragge Smurfs and Nids'. Tell me what you think, and if they look too much like Dark Angels, cause thats what I'm afraid of. Also what color should I use on the shoulderguard for my shas'ui?

thanks cag for help with taking pics.

Nice work! I like the paint job too. The 'orange and cream' style just really angered me. I like the green, and the highlighting you did as well!

Yea, nice colours. Clear, bold contrasting colours are good.

You have not followed rule number 1 in my photo tips;

Dont move your camera too close, about 30cm away from the model.

Eve if the model does not fill the image, you can always edit it on a computer.

nice work! fairly clean brushwork and you've kept the coats thin.
i do notice a bit of the black showing through on the fatigues, and they could always use an ink wash + highlight, but that can always wait untill later!

as for what colour to use for the sash'ui's shoulder guard, you're best to pick a contrasting colour; white/yellow/bone/light grey or such.

overall, well done! keep up the good work.
cheers!

Thanks guys, it means a lot when the only comments you've gotten on painting are the classic family and freinds "I could never paint that well" compliment. I'll try taking some more pics from around 30cm away. I think I'll try out a yellow or orange color out for the shas'ui. I do need to do touch ups on the pants and such, cloth kinda makes me mad. Thanks again for the kind words everyone.
