| Ok, I know this must have been asked before but I can't seem to find a topic on it. I need tips for using green stuff. I just got some for christmas, and I have little idea how to use it. Also, what could use green stuff for on nids? I can think of tons of stuff for chaos and making sm chaos, but I think I'll need a little imaginative boost for nids. I saw the topic for chaos nids, but for some reason I dont really want that. Anyway, thanks in advance guys and gals.

| bears. beets. BSG. ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | hmm, you could definitely do things like extended carapace, some sort of gland sacs, things like that. it takes a while for the ideas to form but i know after playing with some for a while and staring at your army you'll see some gaps and things you want to patch up, a weapon you want to change up or something :] the key to gs is: WATER WATER WATER. put some in a dish or something [preferably one that isn't used for food] also, a toothpick [also kept wet] or some sort of hobby knife [wet as well] should give you enough flexibility to sculpt most of the stuff you want :] another thing: don't take too much, unless you have truly grandiose plans ! haha i often find myself taking way too much and having to simply flatten it out, let it cure and use it as like random armor or other flat bitz. :] good luck buddy ! -ant

| The Great Wolf ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() | ok...We have covered this before on several occaisions...but the thread seems to have disappeared...need to get with Ikky about this and see if it wasn't lost or deleted... Something to consider...the GS you have...is it in ribbon form where the two colors are running side by side or is it in tube form...if it is in ribbon form, then a good idea is after you have removed the amount you need, and BEFORE you start to kneed it, score the center line out as it tends to leave clumps and usually doesn't mix very well as the two materials have already been subject to the chemical reaction which occurs when you mix them... and as r4 stated...use plenty of water, make sure your tools are damp when working the GS and keep yer fingers moist to avoid adhesion... Work time is roughly 90 minutes before it begins to cure beyond workable consistancy so make sure you KNOW what you wanna do...also you can vary the amounts of materials you wanna mix..(the blue and the yellow) as one is the adhesive and the other is the hardener...a little more hardener and you have a more stabile version of GS that takes detail a bit better but cures faster...the less hardener...the more flexible the finished peiece will be... As for what you wanna do with a nid force and a tube of GS?...Well my friend ...the sky's the limit...set yer imagination free and get to modeling!

| Welcome to the next level of the hobby my friend GS is what takes good looking model and makes them great looking models if fills gaps you can mold your own bitz (sybols, buttons, purity seals, ribbons etc,etc etc) you can make add ons(this guy needs a beard or a longer pony tail or even a cape) GS allows you to truly customize your army it takes alot of work, patience and water

| Thanks for all the replies guys. Just so you guys know it's in tube form. Anything I should know about storing it? Dont think I'll be using it quite yet. I hope to use it soon though. Maybe something with a fex. Or I might end up waiting till I get some chaos. Anywho, thanks again.

| I don't think it's squadron green stuff. Here's what it says on it. Kneadatite Blue/Yellow Professional Sculptor's Detail Epoxy Putty Bars. The original Green Stuff. It shows pics of a well made dragon, teddy bear, and fairy all made with green stuff. Highly recommended for sculpting the organic or smooth flowing features of master miniatures(15mm - 120mm scale) and custom jewlery, to fill gaps in "built up" kits, to customize or create part to model kits, to assemble components of models & figures, and to produce stunning original sculptures. There's more but I'll spare you guys. Anywho, still think it's squadron green stuff? Oh, and anything special I might need to do to store it?
