Default help with adeptus custodes

hi folks
wasnt sure where would be best to put this so i thought here would be good.
I'm looking for some advice how to use some models in my possession to create a workable army based on the Adeptus Custodes.
I've managed to get hold of some Custodes miniatures produced in Russia that are equal to GW quality and in the case of the terminator equal to FW quality. I have managed to get hold of these:

I've managed to get three squads of these so that's 15 models in total. the bottom picture shows what they break down to in their component parts

managed to get three of these bad boys as well. again this model shows what you received but the assembled and painted model shows a converted model.

I'm looking at some way of fielding these as a coherent force in friendly and games club games as id never get away with fielding these in a GW store.
I have been considering fielding them as grey knight but not sure how. I'm not adverse to converting a few of the Custodes and termies (though I would like to keep one termie with a fire pike) so they are armed with flamers or psycannons (any suggestions on making plastic or easily convertible psycannons is much appreciated) and possibly adding the funky metal GW venerable dread as it fits in well with the models. if needs be could also add some guard or similar, seen some nice conversions using wood elf legs and cadian torsos that I could use.
I'm looking at roughly a 1000 to 1500 force that's a good all rounder just don't have any ideas as to make it a viable one.
any suggestions folks would be gratefully received
cheers

Wow those are some nice models really nice find man.

As to fielding them as Grey Knights: Easy just pick up a Daemon hunters codex and the rules for grey knights are right there and it is possable to field them as purely a grey knight force

As for converting you could easily use counts as rules i.e. a fire pike (not quite sure what that is) could be counted as a heavy flamer and power fist easily (only I'm counting on the name "fire pike" to be a spear that spits fire)

thanks for the reply, i have the codex but as its about 300 miles from me at at moment im looking for suggested lists, even rough lists that i can points up later would help as im trying to sort out purchases and some extra modelling.

the fire pikes will count as flamers but its just the psycannons etc but if i had a list or two to look at as i have no idea what makes a competative GK list then it would help me work out conversions easier.
cheers

you must link me to the home of those models!

id just go with a marine list or grey knights one (the marines will let you customise things better, plus you can use jetbikes). i know it doesnt fit perfectly, but thats the closest thing. of course youre not going to get the insane pre-heresy weapon configurations, but hey, thats the fun of counts as lists

tactically you get more options with SM but for those guys who are supposed to be super-super-human I'd use grey knights for fluff defiantly

Well for some rules and modelling ideas, I have already had a go at Adeptus Custodes (though not as good as those models):

[WIP] Adepts Custodes

Thought it might help you on your quest :-D

Also, check out the GW section on them Dav taylor uses SM to represent normal custodes, and then Daemonhunter allies (GK) for the 'Companion' Custodes (the ones personally assigned to protect the Emperor at ALL times and never left his side). He also answered some questions a while back, and suggests using the GK fast attack choices and termies, as they truly represent Custodes best.

or, if you really wanted, you could use GK terminator rules for a small squad of custodes. reason being that the custodians armour is like artificer armour, all of them no doubt have the crux terminatus. you could use them as allies.

Hey those are cool! too bad GW has to be that guy and ruin everything. I understand about Itellectual property, but come on. If your gonna shut 'em down and gonna be big and bad, buy 'em out and make 'em work FOR you .That way you can share models like that with the world.

And isn't it "the best form of flattery is imitation"? I dunno about these guys anymore.

OH and back on subject!!! I like to cruise CMON for ideas. If you want you can use my link to get you there. Or go to WWW.coolminiornot.com.

1) as said before, Definitely Use Grey Knights Rules!!!! (IMHO)
2) I'm PRETTY DARN sure that's illegal... (the models themselves i mean)
EDIT:
3) despite #2, you got a link to where you got them? lmao

... because then GW would have to support custodes and squats
which is the last thing they want to do right now
they are already going over their original limits to bring you HH artbooks and novels
which is telling the ENTIRE DETAILED STORY of the Horus Heresy.
that's unprecidented.

so dont expect custodes models
