  |  How do you make shotguns? Those forgeworld models are quite tastey, but $17 for 5 is hardly a deal. How do you guys make shotguns? I thought of just cutting the barrel off of lasguns and making a very short, fat nozzle on the front (like a HB nozzle or something) and possibly using the nade/flamer side grip on it. |

| well, i know of 2 good sources should you not want to go the 'cut down a lasgun' method; - bit order the old metal necromunda gun sprues... there's 3 or so good shotguns per sprue, plus a very cool autogun! - bit order the new plastic scout shotguns from battlewagon bitz and/or see if you can get some off of friends... - bit order the scout biker shotgun arm hope this helps, cheers!

| well the way i WOULD do it (ive never had the need to make shotguns) would be to cut the muzzle AND MAGAZINE off of a lasgun. ive seen people with lasgun shotguns who didnt cut off the magazine and it looks stupid, because shotguns dont have magazines. you load the shells right into the chamber. or they have internal magazines. you could also do the same with a bolter for a more bulkier look. |

| I think I would go with a bolter minus the mag. It has more of a shotgun-type look, which is up-close and personal. I think the lasgun will still look like a rifle.

| i just use the lasgun conversion its cheap especially if you already have abunch of imperial guard. however i would recommend if you have the cash to spend the space marine scouts bitz they look really cool

| The Necromunda weapon sprue is the way to go. Double barrel, Single barrel, Pump-Action, Sawn-Off. It's all right here

  | I just had a go at making a shotgun, and I find it looks better if you add a grip to it. I used a bit of a cocktail stick and cut it to the correct size;  Once I gave it a quick paint job, it looks even more shotgun like;

| the one thing though about lasgun conversions; you would still need to add an ejection port for the spent shells or else it still looks a wee bit iffy... cheers!

| thats pretty good cag. very good job. never would of thought to have used a toothpick although i have used the plastic sword toothpics and used the blades as the barrels for a sniper rifle.

Blog Entries: 1 | I just started working on an automatic shotgun conversion yesterday after reading some more In Extremis. It just uses a scout shotgun, back piece of a bolter, and I don't have it yet, but a drum clip from the Ork Boyz sprue.
