iron warrior warsmith conversion

hey all,

been working on this for a bit. little bit here and there in between alot of other stuff been working on.

used bits from:
necromunda rapier treads
csm tank gunner legs
csm asp champ with chain tabard
fantasy chaos knight head with topknot
oop metal csm sorcerer backpack with serpents on either side
metal sm backpack banner

wanted something mechanized for my iw warsmith conversion to show the deamonic speed abilitiy

will get pics on here as soon as i can. having some trouble with photobucket at the moment and cant upload directly here from my pc for some dumb reason.

hmmmm... reading about all these great conversions and such makes me wish i had a digi-cam of my own.
for example my mutant henchman who's had a heavy bolter crudely grafted on in place an arm! (i use him as a gun servitor game-wise)

for something like this i would look on the GW site for the terminator comversions. theres one with treads that would look cool chaosy. or was that your inspiration?
i also must post pics of something i did yesterday....

hey all,

heres the link for termies
treads mcgee is the first one on there.

right now, i would definatly try for a terminator chest. the treads are big and it makes his body look small. need something...chunkier.

I hate to plug myself, but you can look at mine (I did mine based off the GW site) and I would be more than happy to share my methods!

i'd appreciate gettin a gander at yours erus. i'm always looking for ideas on conversions. i'm looking at maybe making some treads to do a larger version for my iw deamon prince.

i've thought about taking apart my necron walker i made a few years ago. i got it up here in the image area somewhere. but i dont think its bulky enough for a dp conversion. thinking of maybe picking up an ork wartrakk or something like that for the treads.

kinda wish i could find the article from a few years ago in a white dwarf that had a iw siege dread conversion in it. now that looked awesome. would like to have some bits from that one.

Get me the issue number, i'll get a hold of it. HEre are what is done with my termies. Pre-Heresy Terminators (Emperors Children style)

models look very kewl erus. definately like to see them when thier finished. i picked up some gk termies a year or so ago that had been converted to 1000 sons. he did pretty good job however he only added 1000 sons bits to them and didnt really change anything else and one of the hth weapons was broken so i changed them out with the fantasy chaos knight axes. you might want to look at those bits for your ec termies. i saw the insiration pic you're using and the axe on them is really similar to the fantasy chaos knight axes. and the lance from that sprue also works great as a bit for making an Eather lance deamonic weapon. i've got on on my asp champ with my iw bikers.

'fraid i dont know the issue # that had the iw siege dread in it. wish i did then i could get a copy of it. i'm gonna try looking on the uk gw site.

Thing is, most of my guys have power fist (2x) chainfist (1x) or lightning claw (2x signle, 1x pair). So no power weapons, lol. The gamer in me took over the fluff head, lol.
