  |  A little glimpse At this link Col_Taarna - Photobucket - Video and Image Hosting can be found 13 images of some of the things I am working on. Most are of the panzer type armor conversion of the Leman Russ. Two are elements of my World Eaters army; Skaralax the Daemon Prince and Belisarius the Dreadnought. Heavily converted in the latter case. They'll do until I get some more pics of other things, perhaps my majorly converted Bloodthirster and some of the Salamanders I have. Please excuse the picture quality, they were taken with a webcam. I get more up as soon as I am able. Sister Sin

| Re: A little glimpse I've not heard of the Chimera kitbash guide, so no. I got this idea from a fellow over on Warseer in the Imperial Guard Treadhead's thread. For some reason his name escapes me just now. Adding in the suspension was my own idea. I've since come up with various versions of WWII German Armor as 40 equivalents and used tech drawings of the tanks to get the right idea for suspension and such. The one in the photobucket is based on a Panzer III and would be suitable for the Conqueror or similar. I have most of the main battle tanks based off the Panzer IV. I follow a similar routine with other armored vehicles. Sister Sin

| Re: A little glimpse I like the weapon on the demon prince (his name is also kickass!). Could you take a close up of the weapon. That looks interesting. It looks like a Slaneesh type weapon. I can tell you it is made from a length of hard wire, the head and butt of the Glaive carried by the Inquisitor scale Daemonhunter figure, and some fine chain wrapped around the haft. Simple really. It was originally meant to represent a Berserker Glaive but it has been used more often as a two handed weapon. Sister Sin

| Re: A little glimpse Currently I'm working off the Panzer III and IV...and variants thereof. They cover pretty much all the Leman Russ variants. That being said, I'm working on having the Hunting Tiger as the Demolisher equivalent, probably the Jagdpanzer for the Laser Destroyer, and I'm really leaning towards the Tiger I for the Vanquisher variant. I actually prefer the Tiger I over the Tiger II in most respects. The Baneblade I'm going to be doing some work on of course; I have three of them. But since it already looks excellent it will be simple cosmetic customization..probably a lengthening of the barrel or something. Haven't started yet. The Chimera in those pics was an experiment made from three old ones I got from a friend plus extra Pred parts. But I'm thinking now I may actually change them into something different...probably without the large turret and mounting perhaps twin heavy stubbers or something. I still need to think on it some. The Basilisks I haven't show yet are being converted based on the Hummel SP and I'm looking at a Wespe style Hydra. The idea is to make them either of GW kit parts or of card scratch built for the purpose. Some will have interiors done up. The infantry are mostly female guard and the camo is a sort of pea camouflage from the Waffen SS of WWII. It's a long term project but I'll get pics up as soon as I have some ready to go. Sister Sin

| Re: A little glimpse Love the Panzer conversions. I've always had a fondness for WWII German equipment and have had that interest revived now that I'm working on a Guard army. Not using that imagery but it has gotten the juices flowing. (Sometimes with these old bones/synapses that can be a little tricky  ).Last edited by St.Germaine; 03-17-2008 at 10:03 AM. |
