Blog Entries: 4 | I'm not a big fan of using bleached bone on the edging (If that is bleached bone), but over all the colours look good. Black Templar Crusader Sprues?

| those are pretty good! :] and for the record, i think soul drinkers is one of the coolest chapter names i've ever heard :] haha. does anybody know where to get history on them? not even wikipedia has a whole lot on their background.. XD :] but more importantly, good work! -ant

| thanks for the feedback! yes its black templar sprues, i also use some Dark Angels bitz as well. I figure they use the robes and hoods to hide some of their mutations if they ever need to go into imperial space. Although i will using some mutations in think 1 in every 5 marines will be mutated. I even use selective chaos marine parts to show that some of the Soul Drinkers have fallen to chaos as in the forthcoming book called Chapter War. sorry dan296 but it is bleached bone on their shoulderpads. It could be the lighting in the pic as i had to dim it as originally it was too bright. You can get all their background from the Soul Drinker series of novels from Black Libary now all collected into an obimius. The short end of their background is they were orginally formed from the assault companies of the imperial fists (so their a close combat force) some time passes blah blah. They lose the sacred artifect called the Soulspear, they eventually lead an assault on a starfort for it, but it is stolen from them by the Adeptus Mechanius. The Soul Drinkers start gaining mutations and are declared traitors by the imperium, they believe the "blessings" are from the emporer but they eventually find out they are under the influence of a daemon prince (either slanesh or tzeenzth) and Sarpedon the de facto chapter master kills it with the soulspear that the demon gave him thinking he would turn to chaos. In short the Soul Drinkers hate the tyranny of the imperium, but still fight against chaos and believe in the emporer. I have converted Captin Karridin and am currently doing Sarpedon. ill put some pics up once he's done but be warned its only a prototype i expect there will be many more till i get it right. Im also going to convert every named Soul Drinker and probably invent some. Sorry for the long rant btw.

| I think that that would be a very cool army, though all I can think of in the way of suggestions is to make sure you have tellos, as that will be a cool conversion

| ooh nice...can we get a close up of sarpedon? thanks for posting that link with soul drinker BG, it was really helpful as well.. lol your models looks pretty good. my only complaint is that the pics are kind of small, but oh well. i also commend you for choosing a space marine army not often used or played...or even very well known :] -ant

| no rules that i know of unfortunately. I use the space marine codex with the traits No mercy, No respite and either suffer not the works of heretics or take the fight to them. The disadvantages are Flesh over steel and we stand alone. You could just as easily use the chaos codex but avoiding daemons.

| i think for sarpedon, other HQs, etc using a chaos list wouldn't be too bad. the soul drinkers really sounds like a pretty cool chapter.. :] looking forward to seeing more sarpedon! :} -ant
