Default Painting Cloth and Parchment

What paints do you use to paint the off-white-ish cloth and parchment so often seen on BT minies, and all GW minies for that matter?

Vallejo Bonewhite usually works well for generic tabards and such.

first start with a layer of vermin brown, then a layer of bestial brown, then a final layer of bleached bone. that should give you the good off colored paper you want. this is what the eavy metal boys choose when they did the grey knights

My friend mixed his yellow and flat white (not sure what brands...) for parchment on his BT.

start with a base coat of bronzed flesh. hit the recesses with some thinned down snakebite leather/beastial brown. then highlight up with bronzed flesh/bleached bone, then bleached bone, then bleached bone skull white.

oh hold on...parchments? not robes? d'oh! well it should work well for both.

hmmm. Well for parchment I went over the surfaces with a drybrush of scorched brown/tanned flesh, then bleached bone, then bleached bone/skull white. You could probably give it a (fairly) watered down brown ink wash to make it look old...
