Painting question

Well basically I can't make up my mind on how to paint the close combat weaponry on my ultramarines. I was thinking yellow/black chevron but i could go with the classic red or the newer black. Decisions,decisions!

Any thoughts?

It really depends on your personal preference. I think either of the options would look really good.

what company are you painting? Id think that the company color should contrast with the weapon color ( i never thought that the gold striped 2nd company looked that good with red weapons)

Actually I'm not painting gold trim that's a new thing and I don't like the look of it. I'm painting 2nd company (classic yellow trim) and 3rd company (red trim).

good! i hate the new-look gold as well unless you really tone down the blue so it's darker & grittier than the classic ultramarine blue!

i'd say take 2 of your options;
a) for the 2nd company, go for the classic red weapon casings
b) for the 3rd company, challenge yourself and try the black + yellow chevrons!

have you ever thought of adding somthing completley different, like i know i painted the latin words for:to war or a chainsword and a power sword, but i would have to agree with experiment
