Quality Paint Brushes - 40K Terra

I have crappy paint brushes. I did a little bit of searching on the internet and came across this. First off, do those look any good? Second, if not, can someone please direct me to some quality paint brushes?

Go to a Arts and Crafts store the one near me has 100's of style's and brush type's.

I'll see what I can do. You must understand, I don't live in the middle of nowhere, but as we say, you can see it from here.
We do have a small store that caries some art supplies, but I'm not too hopeful.

Ya I'd recommend going to a store over buying brushes online that way you know exactly what you're getting. It might just be me but I go into the store and test the bristles, check the ferrules, etc. and make sure its what I'm going for. You can only get so much info from a picture online.

I second that! Its the only way.Unless you get someone you trust to pick you some brushes and mail them.

yeah id rather go to a store as well. that way you can talk to a sales person instead of reading just a short detail description about it

they don't look too bad mikeel but they might be a bit big for minis. a gw standard brush is, i think, a size #1 and the smallest in that range is #2. look for a range that has sizes from 1/0 to 4/0 (or 0 - 0000 if ya like) as the smaller brushes are best for fine details.

pro arte is a fairly good make (i use 'em) and i hear good things about windsor and newton

i cant remember who make my brushes but they range from large to very small
some are animal hair from camel to hog
my best one are vinly i think some sort of synthetic
i think they work the best for details

lol GW brushes are alright. they just don't work well for very long...haha. and naturally, GW charges an arm an a leg for them. i'll have to look into newton and windsor and pro arte, thanks hairy :]

A town 15 miles from the California border with a population of 2500, and I'm one of only three people who play 40k.
