Default Skull Helms!

okay. well i have a chaplain, pics soon to come, who is underway. the problem is, i already have him down in chapter fluff with a formidable skull helm. what bits could i use for that? i'm thinking maybe use the skull on the chaos spikey bit from the chaos tactical squad [i think it has a human skull and a broken up marine helmet on it as well, look here http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/43-0612 and it's the one on the right]

any other suggestions? is this a good idea at all? lol. and also...what can i do for plastic rosariuses...rosarii? lol

thanks all! :]

The terminator chaplin has a pretty sweet skull helm

http://us.games-workshop.com/games/4...r_chaplain.htm

I think he's a black templar chaplain. if that matters.

yea i've seen the termie chaplain, it's a sweet model, but i don't think his skull is a separate bit, so i'm not sure i can use that...unless i can somehow convert his head to fit a power armored chaplain..haha

thanks though ! :]

may i suggest using green stuff to cover the face in a mask or helm then adding on bitz to create the great skull helm?

hmm...this is an interesting idea..can you elaborate though? the closest idea i've had of this is just giving him a normal helmet, then painting the actual face inset bleached bone or something like that with special attention to making it more skully...is that sort of what you're talking about ? haha

thanks!

I think they will have lascannons, heavy bolters, rocket launchers and possibly Plasma cannons.

When I went to Warhammer world, the GW Guy was telling me that there is actually enough wepons to make 2 Devastator squads. All you need to do is buy a combat squad and add the weapons, and you can have another devastator squad!

why not use the skull head from the new style chaos warriors? Its a rather nice skull. It may not look right, and it may seem corny, but in issue #300 of the US white dwarf, in the part about converting costudes, they made a sweet custom chaplain, and used the chaos warrior skull head.. if I did a plastic variant, thats what I'd use!

this could work if you remove the crests and chaos symbols.

i'd go with the 'zerker 'skull face' helmet myself... it's pretty easy to clip off the extra bitz and it files down quite well! (i used one myself to act as tophy on my guard commander's base - he now stands proudly over the helmet of a slain dark apostle!)

cheers!

its partly a tribute to stitch and partly a way to stop the ravenous hunger from devouring the younger members, kinda like a public service. membership is free, just add a note to your signature or use cags fantastic membership singanture.

I'm not a fan of the berzerker skull helm.... I'd say the chaos warrier skull helmet, just with the lower jaw trimmed would look well...

another thing you can do to add-on to the chaos warrior skull helm is to take an iron halo bit from the marine commander box & trim it to fit over the helmet itself!

or if you really don't mind waiting for a year or so, there's bound to be a nifty new deathmask/chappy helmet coming in the blood angel upgrade sprues?!!

cheers!

the 'ears of khorne' helmet (hehe...) and its relitivly easy to clip off the ears and file it down. i think that http://www.battlewagon-bits.com/product/83-0617 this helmet would be the easiest one to use. it also looks pretty cool.

The Custodes Chaplain conversion by GW staff uses that helm with the lower jaw filed off...

hey anyone have a link/pic for that custodes conversion? that would be cool. stitch, do you mean the iron halo attached straight to the helmet? i think i know what you mean, like cut off the bottom bar and then just glue it onto the skull, like a spikey mohawk? :]

hmm...interesting ideas. i definitely like the chaos warrior head the most though. now...how to get one...lol

kinda, except place it across the helm side-to-side, not back-to-front! it'll end up looking a bit similar to commander dante's deathmask helmet.
you could even fill in the gap with a bit of green stuff if you want, or just leave it with the gap...

i'm planning to do this type of conversion for my 'dark knight' character in my bearers of dark knowledge army!

cheers!
