So close to starting a Relictor Army

I just need a few more tid bits about there back ground and THERE COLOR SCHEME and I will be happy. I think something big is on the horizon for them. Not turning to CHaos but pulling something out of there but to really catch the Imperiums eye on a good note. Using Chaos to fight Chaos I think they could be a very dangerous chapter and could possibly be a desiding facotr in the war against Chaos.

Will you use the Chaos Codex to build the Army? Somthing like a Soul Drinkers Chapter-Fallen from grace in the eyes of the Imperium but still fighting for the good of Humanity?

I would say no with that one, as the only thing they use Chaos are a few weapons here and there in the upper ranks.

Like I said use Vallejo Sombre Grey to get the paint scheme down in one go, followed by a black was to darken it a bit and add depth.

I advise using the radical/heretical wargear list for Inquisitors. They have some Relictor only daemon weapons in there! Just ask and i'll toss ya it!

relictors are actually gray with a slight blue tinge, so the sombre gray with a drybrushing of midnight blue or enchanted blue. that would look really cool

Here's some rules for Relictors. I have pts. cost and such as well, but if you can get a hold of the WD I mention, it'll have them as well. I've always liked them and their fluff. Radicals, FTW!

Relictors Daemon Weapons(p. 76, WD 287 US):

Shard of the Monolith: Bearer gains +1 Strength and +1 Initiative. He must always move toward and assault the nearest enemy if possible, and must always perform a sweeping advance if possible.

Sword of St. Aquitaine: If the Sword of St. Aquitaine causes a Wound and the bearer passes his Mastery test, he may force the entireity of the next game turn to be fought with the Night Fight rules. Power Weapon. Daemon Weapon.

Artekus Scourge: If the Scourge wounds a model with more than 1 wound, that model must roll under its Leadership on 3D6 of be removed as a Casualty. Power Weapon. Daemon Weapon.

The Blade of Phaedron: The Blade of Phaedron wounds all Daemons on 2+, and adds +D3 to the bearer's Attack characteristic when charging a Daemon instead of the usual +1. Daemon Weapon.

Daemon Weapon: Before the game begins, roll a D6 to determine which weapon is carried.

1- Dark Blade
2- Dread Axe
3 - Axe of Khorne
4 - Pandemic Staff
5 - Needle of Desire
6 - Warp Blade

Grimoire Pandaemonica(wargear): The bearer can force his opponent to reroll Daemonic Possession or a single Summoning roll each game turn.

Shadow just to make it clear those rules Erus gave aren't legal so only use them against friends and if you do use them make sure you pay spme points for them. A Shard of Angron's monolith huh? I guess what the did on Armageddon was worth it

Relictors

Founded in the 36th millennium as one of the twenty Astartes Praeses Chapters, created to protect the regions surrounding the Eye of Terror.[5] The Relictors were a radical chapter that utilised the weapons of Chaos to destroy the minions of Chaos themselves. This frequently brought them into conflict with the Inquisition, eventually culminating in their being stripped of their homeworld and being sent on penitent crusade. Relictors are known for following their own means and objectives during conflicts. It is known they participated in the defense of Cadia during the 13th Black Crusade. There is no actual proof as to the Chapter being excommunicated, though rumors are strong that they have once again turned to hunting for chaos artifacts.

Their power armour is dark grey (including trim) with black shoulder pads, and often bears white penitence markings.[2]

The Chapter participated in both the Third War for Armageddon[3] and the defence of the Cadian sector against the 13th Black Crusade.[5]

I called GW and they said the Relictors paint scheme is Shadow Grey. Thoughts....?

They sounds like a great army to ally with a radical Inquisitor army. Just make some house rule that radicals can ally with radicals.

maybe highlighted up with codex grey and the lighter gw grey paint whose name escapes me at the mo (fortress grey?) to stop them looking too wolfy (damn i got wolves onthe brain!)
