Blog Entries: 4  |  So what's Ion been up to? Well he hasn't been buying models, and he hasn't been painting anything, so what HAS he been doing? Talking in third person!......and building lego models..... These are all from Brick Commander, I downloaded the instructions and built them using my own lego pieces, I also have a Huge model I'm going to photo once I finish the arm. first one is called the Razorback    the second was going to be a Long Range Missile carrier, but I thought it looked too fragile and made it into a salvage truck

| Re: So what's Ion been up to? Haha, that's great! Occasionally I've thought about breaking open the crate I keep all my old legos in and building some 40K replicas, but I never do.

Blog Entries: 4 | Re: So what's Ion been up to? The small model would probably be around $30 in cash, while the larger one upwards of $75-$100. that huge one probably near $200 I luckily only had to buy $20 worth of parts for all three models

| Re: So what's Ion been up to? Nice work. I've told some of the younger boys in my games club that Lego is perfectly acceptable in 40k. You don't need to spend $600 for a titan from forgeworld, if a $140 lego battlemech would do a similar job. (Warhounds cost us around $600 inc shipping). $140 of lego should buy enough bits to make a close enough version. I'm putting together a revenant using Exo-force, Bionicle and lego parts to demonstrate the principle to them. Heck, I may even field my lego AT-TE to show them what a superheavy walker really looks like (undergunned for a 40k vehicle, but fine against lighter vehicles and infantry)
