| The new fluff states that jetbikes were once a common sight during the Great Crusade but the Horus Heresy saw the art of constructing and maintaining them go up in flames. Most anti-grav tech in the IoM is regarded with superstition and the only surviving example of the once common jetbike can be found with Master Sammael of the Ravenwing. So no, jetbikes are pretty much out of the question so you should just stick with Land Speeders etc.

| Extremis Diabolus ![]() ![]() | I must agree with Inquisitor Ralei. Jetbikes are a thing long lost to the Heresy. I think the fluff for Sammael even states that he rides the last remaining Imperial Jetbike. That said, there is one way you could do it: make a Pre-heresey army! However, seeing as this is your own chapter, that wouldn't work. You could model them, but it simply (unfortunately) will not work fluff-wise. You could say that they found a long lost warehouse/cache of techno-arcana, but expect to be hassled, and hunted by the Mechanicum.

| Well, in the DA codex it actually says something along the lines of 'perhaps other chapters have such relics too', which means that some Chapters could have one or two, but don't use them. But having them all on jetbikes just wouldn't fit the fluff, there aren't enough Imperium jetbikes in the universe to make even 1 and a half squads.

Besides, the AdMech would be all over them...all remaining Jetbikes should just be given to the AdMech anyway as a matter of principle. Although Sammael should be exempt.

| Yeh, he needs it to smite all of those fallen DA ![]() I just don't think it would work, SM especially would not be the ones trying it out, and not a custom made chapter, as the original legions would have been the ones to keep the jetbikes. Ralei is right, the AdMech would steal them all within a few months of their creation- and probably with-hold tech from them for the rest of their existance.

| Not if you are in the here and now of the 41st Millenium, but if you have a pre-heresy army then you could have a bunch of beakies on jetbikes and call them pre-heresy Dark Angels ot White Scars |

| the issue with the Samuel's jetbike still kind of irritates me. it has been in most fluff that all the jetbikes and STC's for them were lost. then the4y bring one back out of nowhere for a new special character. now i think, if GW can pull a jetbike out of thin are, why can't you? who cares if it's unrealistic in a universe where you can pull entire new systems out of our backsides? what i mean is if you think it would be a fun idea, then go for it! you can always make up some crazy, no-way-its-true Fluff for them two! don't be too worried about how they fit in if its enjoyable! i mean it's a discussion on genetically engineered super-human warriors riding flying machines!! POINT: don't let the fiction become more important than hobby. ![]()

| The Master of the Ravenwing has always been mentioned as having a "special" Landspeeder variant with extra tech on it. GW has just simply upgraded it to a Jetbike which isn't that far a stretch and makes him more unique...which he is meant to be. They didn't say they had the STC for it, just that it's the last surviving example and is probably very well looked after. Quote:
The fluff gives a tight constraint to stop this and to say he should disregard it is wrong.

| Er, the fluff is the hobby! If the fluff wasn't part of it, what would be the point of having background to the units at all! Why not just call each army the' (insert colour here) blobs'? And have Space Marines as grey blobs, and Orks as blue? The point is that everything has fluff for a reason, and to say to ignore it is to say that the fluff isn't important. Lots of people play for the fluff! Why do you think that if you even mention 'Female Space Marines' you'll end up with a ton of scorn thrown at you? It is fun to watch though...
