Stormboyz Conversion - 40K Terra

I want to convert a unit of Stormboyz to be riding squigs instead having rockets. I figured the rocket powered hops were enough like a squig hop to get away with it. I just wanted to get some input on conversion ideas (or if you even think it's a good idea at all!).

Most things are good ideas if done right. I guess you'll have to start with some boar boyz and some squigs and work from there. Also if you want it to look really good you might need some more positions than sitting down. Like one ork holding two squigs by a leash or one ork with a foot strapped to two squigs. It's an ambitious project though.

I like the standing on two squigs idea. I'd prolly use that for a Nob.

Ambitious? Yes.

Difficult? Most likely.

Cool as f***? Oh yeah.

you'd need to use the biggest arsed squigs you could find as they usually have a gobbo ridin em rather than an ork! the one from the nightgoblin special character (gnobbla?) might do but will get a bit repetative after about, say...2

thought about sculpting your own squigs?

ive seen this kind of thing before and i think it looks cool.

the new gobbo lord on squig looks the best for this, but you dont want the same squig for each ork. im not sure if the nirmal swuigs would be too small. its best to buy one and try it out.
