Pine-Sol

will take acryllic off plastic in about 2 hrs
use a soft bristle toothbrust for fine details.

dont leave in more than 2 days.
it will melt the plastic.

haha sorry to dissapoint jericho. i hope you'll be forgiving :P

umm i don't know what exactly is used for stripping paints, but i hear that brake fluid works ? but don't quote me on that, i could be wrong. it's also probably an extremely unhealthy chemical to be around XD

plastic models use the pine sol.
metal brake fluid is awesome.
just use a toothbrush on them, paint comes right off, after soaking awile of course.

It should, alternatively you can use engine degreaser called Purple Power.......you can leave mini's in there for months and nothing will ever happen to them.

As said Brake Fluid works wonders on metal.

Nail Polish Remover works on plaggy, but is expensive and you may as well buy new mini's!

The other alternative for plaggys is Dettol, you can soak them for as long as you want, but abut 2-3 days should do it, then just use an old toothbrush to scrub off.

With stripping your always gonna have a bit of paint left in the cracks, but once you've under coated you cant notice.

WARNING...

DO NOT USE NAIL POLISH REMOVER ON PLASTIC

If your using nail polish remover it need to have acetone in it. And acetone melts plastic.

States use Pine Sol or simple Green
UK us Dettol or simple green

Easy big man, you'll have a cardiac arrest! I can see the sweat beading from here!!!.

Seems my advice on NP remover was incorrect, though I did say dont use it for cost, also dont use for cos it will nack your minis! (If they are plaggy!)

lol

I don't strip paint myself
but my friends tell me they agree with Steve's first post.
So um, that's however many votes for pine-sol.

Oh and COME ON you could have chosen a better name for the thread right?
I was like "stripping...wtf? this better not be..." *hand hovers over delete button while waiting for page to load*

Edit: For those who can't tell, yes I am exaggerating a LOT and yes I am trying to make a funny.

so pine-sol seems to be the most favored...so is it easy to use? I just retrieved my chaos lord and turns out and spray painted him too much, now it seems I'll need to strip him or he's going to look pretty...frayed looking.

You would think GW would market something for stripping paint off their minis. I say we form a mob and storm the gates ( wow that sounds so good I gotta say it again, Storm the Gates!)
