   |  Titan WIP Ok all as you may or may not be aware...he's here! ...  The centerpiece of my 10K army is now under construction...There is alot of work to be done as I have started to strip the old base coat off him and begin the modeling process... After all a center piece should be flawless and any of us who have ever worked with the older Resin kits knows that there are things like short shots and airbubbles in the castings that just passed off as 'well modelling putty can fix it'...(one of the problems with older resin manufacturers as well)...here are a couple of pics as I have started by stripping the old primer and filing the mistakes in the carapace and under carriage...   As you can see by the grayish-white areas on the underbelly and carapace, there is alot of filling and sanding on these...so will be hard at it for a little while till I have it just right...then I will work the arms and finally the legs...as they are the hardest part being the largest, not like the new one where it's all pieces...may do some converting and pin the legs so they are moveable...not sure yet

| Yep an original warhound...this is actually a classic...everyone, listen I will say it once..."This is NOT an Armorcast...this is an original first run US GW Forgeworld circa 1995" as caste on the inside of the carapace... There is also a number in parenthesis...(0)...which I believe is either a mold number...or is a test run number as they did this when setting tools in the presses to verify line up and shot size...

| Conscript | dont you dare sully that model with those horrid 'grey' colours... seriously, i hate people who paint titans in marine/IG colours. they have nothing to do with such armies and are AdMech, and as such should be (generally) red imho, or maybe a camo scheme relevant to your table |

| Yeah, IMHO scale is off a bit, true but then again one must realize that the Warhound is a scout titan...only supposed to have a three man crew(dunno where they all sit)...newer model is a bit bulkier where as this one was based on the Epic scale model...would be nice to have say an Imperator titan...

| Conscript |  an imperator!... thats overkill. even Apocalypse cant support something like that! ive heard the FW is making a reaver, POSSIBLY a warlord, but i doubt well see anything remotely the size of an imperator (from FW, at least) any time soon... though mark my words, theyre crazy enough to do it, im sure! |

| there is an existing model...OOP of course...of a reaver titan...and of course I believe it is an Armorcast...but I don't know if apocolypse will support that either...the model is like 15" tall and not a bad model...I just don't think it's viable for my force...and definately hard as hell to find...

| Conscript | i was never much of a fan of the old armourcast stuff -nowhere near enough detail for my liking, but they done their job, which is to get a model on the table to use. i think a reaver should be a bit bigger than 15", i mean a warhound is about 12" right? oh well. you ignore us, and get painting that beast! |

| That looks cool. I think that it would look better with some shoulder pad kind of panels above the arm joints. it will make it that bit more titan like and is an easy way to make it look more bulky. Also, what weapons does it have?

| As for the weaps...it has the twin linked mega blast cannon and multi laser destroyer... And I agree with Wakim...it shoulda been a better looking model...I believe the original was a plaster casting they made the molds from...not very symetrical as one would expect a machine to be, but am working on that...it was a matter of getting something out there and as long as it 'looked' like the original sketch I don't think they cared back then...now of course resin casting has improved immensely...so of course the models look better...but then too it makes for outrageously expensive models as well and I don't have $500 to throw down on a single model...
