Default USE OF D_C's Truscale Method

I used Sculpy and you will see how. Sculpy is easier to shave than plastic and you can make it as thick as you want to:

My Beads

My Tools I used the point where the ink cartridge comes out for the small ones and the barrel for the bigger ones

Attaching

with roughly 1/8th inch spacers here are my results:

When i got the method down i did the start of a squad:

Believe me the other is more blurry

DONT KNOCK MY GS SKILLS IT WAS MY FIRST TIME:

Theyre Nurgle NE WAYS!!

and there you have it.

that certainly is esaier than using the spacers, though the main reason i use plastic spacers is because i can glue then with polystyrene cememnt.

good job. looking forward to seeing them finished.

I find it's easier to shave off the arrows from the legs for GSing as you can be a little more forgiving of the smoothing work... I must buy a sculpting tool too now that I think of it...my usual sharp knife just might not cut it... no pun intended.

Be careful lining up the feet with the upper legs. Its easier to keep the pose if you keep the legs lined up as they were... Well, that and mutilating the spacers as needed.

looking at the pics again, i think the shoulder spacers might be a bit big. hard to say fro mthose pics.

take a look at yahoos thread (howling at the moon) and have a look at his ones, which turned out very well

Well, with the shoulder pads on in one marine in an upside down pic, etc.. It looks better there.

the soulder spacers don't look too bad, maybe a bit wide but thats ok. as long as you throw some gs at them and do a ribbed joint thingy (what the hell are they actually called?) no one should notice.

I think soft armour would suffice...

Technically, isn't it the black carapace?

No, that is implanted in their torso, the soft armour is more likely a type of hermetically sealed body-glove composed of artificial muscle fiber that forms the bulk of the armour, drawing power from the pack.

Oh! that makes sense... I had a person tell me once it was the black carapace, and it confused me.

the black carapace is an implant that sends invasive nerve bundles into the marine's torso, which monitor his vital signs. During the last stages of enhancement, the Admech drill a number of connector ports in it so that the power armour links directly to the marine, the better to regulate temperature and compensate for illness.
