Xacto. Though I don't recommend their saw blades. Way too thick.

Those aren't the same ones I picked up! So it must be different sizes then! The one I have is a pretty thick blade!

X-actos, but be sure to get lots of spares and change them out......a dull knife is a lot more dangerous then a sharp one.

I disagree fellas. I do use an Exacto knife, it's quite comfortable in the hand, but I dislike their blades. Most are dull, and the tips are burred. Go with Fiskars, my friend. Always sharp, and last longer. Also, never use the same blade on metal then plastic. Use your dulled blades on metal, but only when necessary. A good set of small files is the better way to go, I rarely use a blade to shave mold lines on metal. Again, pick up some 2000 grit automotive sandpaper for plastic, and 1000 for metal. Nasty mold lines smoothed to perfection!

I use my trusty X-acto on plastic - with #11 blades (and use my dremel on metal).
The dremel is held in a clamp that lets me use it as a bench tool (my brother in law made the clamp for me. He has one for his, and he does a fair bit of railway work.

lol wow you guys are all into xactos ! i have my xacto gripster with trusty #11s, but the blades break rather easily and that means lots of spares.

personally i use one of those razors, nice and thick with one sharp edge and one edge covered with a sheet of hardy metal. they come in boxes of dozens at like hardware stores. they've got REALLY nice control because your fingers hold the vertex, while xactos mean you have to wrestle with the handle...eeps ! haha
just my preference though...

X-acto #1 Gripster knife with #11 blades and the big knife #5 for the curved blades (the # escapes me) and the razor saws (not too thick, thinner than a Zona Saw). Also, good needle files to clean parts with.
