| I just thought up this and it's kinda half-baked but tell me what you think anyway. Your facing a well balanced army with stuff you don't want to reach your lines at all costs (Elector count on Griffon) , but there's plenty of enemy missile troops and cannons you need to take care of too...Give a Thane a rune of brotherhood and attatch him to a unit of about 15 Miners with full command and a steam drill. The steam drill will ensure the unit shows up early in the game. Deploy the miners directly behind your enemies gun lines in a wide-face formation so you could possibly get two or even three enemy units in a rear charge. Then when you've started wreaking havoc you can detatch the Thane and send him after the crews of unsuspecting war machines. So what do you think???

Blog Entries: 5 | dont know about necromunda, but doing this you still run the risk of them not deploying any war machines or just having them leave a character back there and the you are kinda screwed. For what it s worth though not bad. 7/10*

| Me and the friends are still fairly new to fantasy and I seem to be the only one with a decent sized army... I doubt I'll need to worry about them leaving a character behind to guard the rear...even with that the thane is a powerful hero and with him bolstering the miners the unit won't go down to easy. What if I had two units of Miners???

Blog Entries: 5 | I use 2 units of miners. it just seems more fun that way. as you can come in from any side, it just works good. you can bolster your own line, attack a flanking force or kill off war machines.

| So it's settled then...two units of 15 miners with all the trimmings. What would you recommend for my main line...15 Ironbreakers or about 25 warriors/shields

Blog Entries: 5 | Honestly, ironbreakers are not that cool. they have a nice save but there is not a whole lot that can do damage to heavy armor anyway. stick with more warriors.

Blog Entries: 5 | Go with a couple of units of thunderers 10 in each so you can get 5 shots off each turn 12 if you know you will have open space to manouver. take only 1 unit of longbeards. that is all that they are worth. cannons over organs. that is my recomendation.

| Trooper ![]() | Your tactic is a risky one but then it is good to take risks sometimes, it can really swing the tide of things. I would try it out a few times to see how it goes.

| i use two small units of miners to kill enemy war machines while i grind down the rest of the army with my warriors. but two 15dwarf units would probable masacer enything that got near them with or without a thane.
