Right now, i've two colors of apple barrel (a grey and black) that, if mixed right will produce a sufficiently dark grey. I just need models to test.

Oh, right, forgot the LRC had that... yeah, when in doubt, "counts as". I think a suitably nasty-looking weapon would be ok for most gamers.

I was thinking something along the lines of four long barreled (or more, maybe 5) autocannons on some sort of gatling? That might be too close to ass-can though.. Maybe two rows of three auto cannon barrels, horizontal?

Well that would certainly be impressive! If you can and want to do it, do it! Just be sure to post pics along the way.

No.. As reapers are Chaos.. I'll probably just take IG or some such barrels, attach them in two horizontal rows of three each...

Aye, but since I'm assuming that particular design hails from the pre-heresy days, I figured a less chaosy version of said configuration might be acceptable.

You could try for a halo type gatling gun, three IG heavy weapon autocannon barrels mounted on two-three plasticard frames... Counts as longbarrelled, gatling autocannon...

I just don't like the reaper auto for the job. I'll scratch build or convert my own really. Though it will counts as exactly what you said.

Hmmm, what about the defiler autocannons? not the whole cannon, but just the barrels and bayonets, as those are a bit more permitting than the heavy weapon ones...

I dislike the bayonets, and the defiler bits seem a bit large for my taste.

well if the gatling autocannon is going to be mounted on a landraider crusader I reckon it needs to be heavily armoured and still mobile enough to sweep across fast moving targets. Remember, such a vehicle wouldn't be purely for assaults it would be for shock purposes too, so when this thing comes crashing though enemy lines like the emperor's mailed fist it must convey both His wrath, and his glory upon the heathens. Hmmm, hull mounted heavy flamer/inferno cannon and two twinlinked gatling autocannon sponsons using the old landraider upgrade from forgeworld?

Paint me a picture here, how do you see this thing working?

If you were to continue the chapter symbol, you could use the large book from the ravenwing sprue and put it on a type of pulpit, mount loudhailers (such as those from the SOB vehicle set) on the pulpit as though a constant hail of litanies was called out as it charged into battle, and then mount the flamers/inferno cannon under the book for pure symbolism...
