| update ok so here he is together...havent glued the shoulders on yet wantr to paint first. and will probly remove arms to paint as well but this is it only other things will be a holsterd pistol on his hip. and i need to figure out a familiar.     so what do you guys think?i like the big mutated hand about to throw a bolt of change. better than just a pistol. any ideas for a fansy ornate base? ive never done one of those eather so i realy have no clue wher to even begin  ...

Blog Entries: 1 | that's beautiful grinder, absolutly stunning! for the base, you need to decide on a theme before you start thinking about showy stuff. how will the rest of the army be based? wilderness? urban? snow? figure that out and then get fancy with it for the sorc.

| for the bases i was thinking perhaps a lava flow theme. first try was on the termiAC at the beginning of this thread. hey hairy, what was the fine sandpaper you wher saying to use to smooth the GS. a few spots i want to hit. but i realy dont want it too smooth. they have been waring in the warp for millenias..... and im not sure what to do with the armor i dont think im onto the faces and such will probly just use painted on runes. anyway hope you guys are liking it. keep the comments comming cause im at the parts wher i dont know what to do and dont want to loose focus

Blog Entries: 1 | Grinder - you know it's great you cant lose focus now!!. IMHO I think bases can be over done and detract from the mini, but thats probably just me, so I would say keep reasonable simple. Those wings really are exellent.

Blog Entries: 4 | chalice would be simple enough to do, draw it on paper first to get the design right, then paint it on with a mix of boltgun metal/chaos black, picking out the large area details with pure boltgun metal and the extreme details with mithril silver. after that, you want a bubbling thing of blood, with a few drops running over the chalice, so do the basic with mechrite red, then go over that with red gore and highlight blood red.

| i dont think i can paint it by hand, that small . i have been busy with work and such that i havent worked on him atall in the last week or so but in gonna try and get some work done on him soon. should i do the base befor i paint him? or should i paint him then worry about the base? and do you guys think i should go with the lava theem for my army bases or something more basic. perhaps something that will make the red armoe stand out more?i need help........

Blog Entries: 1 | i tend to paint the bases first then carefully paint the feet/legs. bases can get really messy and i hate having to redo what i thought was a finished piece because i sloshed brown paint all over his feet!

| good call hairy. ugg now im back to square one i keep commin up with a blank for what to do for the base.where do ya get the foam for makin senery? im thinkin maybe a rock ledge with a dead guardsman hangin over the edge with throat tore out. and him leaping off. maybe something like that ?
