Default C'Tan Deciever WIP FF

Hi all,
Figured since I had questions on my whole FF process I'd share my latest project w/ youze.

this is the Necron C'Tan Deciever *doing it for comission*

*this model is a cast-iron B to assemble!!* ALL of the parts had to be pinned, and very little area to accomplish it. (ended up using "G" guitar string)
*ha ha g-string! I kill me!)

Here he is w/ black primer spray coat:

After that, I Dry Brushed his head, horns, arms, and abs of steel gold.
Also DB'd small areas of cloth where they touch him. (as they are supposed to be completely metal-like in substance: going to transistion between metal and cloth look)

BEGINNING FF:
Used the Kameleon Green/Blu spray. (this'll have 2 pics; the first is focused well, the 2nd unfocused to show color better)

More to come later:

BTW: what color should i do the "slit" *sorry, but its not a crystal or a gem* on his head?
Had planned on his eyes being bright green (like the rest of the army)

Thanks

thanks for the feedback, sorry for the vulgarity *Dirty Man... still workin on the Old*

The blurred pic is the best interpretation my crappy cam will get of the color, its the same step as the one above.

How do you mean, more step by step? This is it! Yeah it's THAT SIMPLE!!!
(unless that is, you would like it to include pics of assembly and priming?)

thanx

Hmmm... gettin pretty specific here!

Lets see:

COLORS:
Primer: Krylon ultra-flat blk
Gold: Apple barrel (1:1 used float medium but h2o works too *soured milk consistancy {works better for DB}*)
FF: Kameleon Kolor (8oz spray by House of Kolor) *2coats*

Atmospheric conditions:
Hell was beautiful today, slightly overcast. Only 75deg.. someone's been at the thermostat again! Humidity @30%.
You asked, You recieve. (cept for the UV, if you dont burn easily, you usually dont pay attention to this)

BTW: from now on I'll do assembly and GS pics too.

well...
heres a new pic:

I DBd the base w/ dark grey (codex?) followed by light grey (SW?).
Aoiding any white. (supposed to be ash waste after all, white would make it look more granite)

more to come, busy working on warriors, flayed, and a goo guide

Yaaaa, finally someone else that relizes, expensive isnt allways better.

Wal-Mart IS EVIL, but so am I.... So there you go.

the green over gold is Kameleon Kolor green/blue, its a spray...
Used to b available at WM (automotive) but they quit ordering it in my area...
*bother*
So I ordered an airbrush and House of Kolor FF paint.
More than one way to skin a cat. (is there really?)

BTW: no one has any ideas for the color of the "guyver" slit in his head????

Yep it would help "define" the base deatila a bit more

have you considered insted of drybrushing the body going for a more blended technique on the metal areas-would give the body a more metalic look (and make it look less chalky) and would make the metal/cloth transition easier?

A technique I have seen but never experimented with is to use a silver base coat and then use a mix of coloured ink (in this case green) and varnish to create a "gem" effect, dont know if it would be any good in this case but worth experimenting with!
