Blog Entries: 4 | Ok so I've been thinking about what to do over winter break when it comes, and I think I'll do is rally the boys and girls at the hobby shop together and make a scene from the intro to Dawn of War So far here's what I have laid down: The scene will be of the Marines counter-charging up the hill and the Orks descending. Marines- 1.There will be 10 marines (one of which will be a Heavy Bolter) If anybody can get me some nice clear pics of the marines charging so I can see exactly how many there are it would be great. 2.One plastic Dreadnought, not much conversion work on this guy, the video makes it seem like he's covering for the other guys as they run up and then he charges. 3. Marines will all be using Assault legs 4. Sergeant may have someone hired out to do a custom head for, depends on if I can find one that looks like him or not. 5. Walled area where the Marines came from will have scattered Predator wreckage. Orks-- 1. There will be around 15/20 Orks (at least one Nob, Burnaboy, and Tankbusta) though because Orks have really bad posing in the legs they will have to be redone, if I can't do it then someone will have to be hired out. 2. 4/6 dead Orks around the outside of the walled area. Terrain is no problem, we found that we are very good at designing scenery, but as such build will go as follows. 1. Scenery 2. Orks 3. Marines This way we go from hardest to easiest, so we hopefully won't get too far into the project if and when we hit a snag.

| Lieutenant ![]() | ORKS..... hmmm.... Not much, find someone with a bunchload of orks and pick the ones that look the most as those in the clip. You need at least one Flamer and one Tank Busta with the tank mine Never counted the Boyz but there should be at least a couple dosen of `em.DOn`t forget than even though the Dread kills quite a few, the SM lose the fight ![]()

Blog Entries: 4 | I have the Burna boy that is the closest to the DoW opening one, it has no cigar but that's easily fixed with Green Stuff. Base made of chicken wire/metal mesh screen covered in paper mache or plaster? destroyed walls made of cities of death obstructions? Edit: had extra time tonight and decided to start this project myself (i've decided to do it alone) I ordered the Orks I need, began building the Marines and created the basic shape of the hill and Papier Mached it. Pictures to follow within the week sometime.

| I would reccomend that instead of chicken wire, use news paper and plaster strip things soaked in water, you can find those in a model train store. I've used this proccess to make a mountain and it worked well. As for the head, try using the Assault Terminator Sergeant head.

Blog Entries: 4 | yeah but he's not the Burna buy with the goggles. In any case here's some pictures of the hill and what the scene will look like acted out with paper and legos. (note I shrunk the scene down for reasons of space, nobody wants to see a lot of empty space inbetween each army) http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/100_1515.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/100_1516.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/100_1517.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/100_1518.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/100_1519.jpg http://i38.photobucket.com/albums/e1...r/100_1520.jpg

| Lieutenant ![]() | LOL @ small lego dreadnaught ![]() Now THAT`S dedication ![]() I like now ![]() As i remember it, the dread was more to the left at the beginign of the fight... .but then again, i haven`t seen the video in ages ![]() On the final table i hope you try your best to keep the distances plausible and avoid cloging the battle.

Blog Entries: 4 | Yeah the orks will be more clustered at the top so as to look like they're all mobbed up and climbing over each other to get to the marines. But then again because I wanted to save room and make the table transportable (for the true distance they covered i'd probably need a 5 foot long board) this represents the moment the two armies are about the clash, just with some un-needed terrain cut out in between As for the Dread, it came from the right so i'd think that it would stay over that way.

| Lieutenant ![]() | When i said LEFT, i meant from the orks perspective ![]() Sadly, transport and deposit space = big problem It would have been easier to make it more acurate at, say, a local hobby shop ![]()

Blog Entries: 4 | Yeah, unfortunately the local shop doesn't have the space or the casing to protect a 5 foot long scene like this. This is the best I'm going to get, besides it'll be a nice surprise for them when I bring it in =)

Blog Entries: 4 | First Blood Raven is done, yes I know I forgot the mold lines on his legs. I'll put him in the middle of the pack so nobody will notice. As usual red in a photo looks like crap dipped in more crap compounded by the problem of my lack of Photo-Fu, but thanks to GW's foundation paint it doesn't look like crap in real life ![]() ![]() ![]() ![]() the base will be removed and a peg drilled into his foot later on.
