Well... after a long hiatus (a week, lol), I've got more progress to report. I FINALLY got more of my FW order I made over a month ago, my second Vanquisher and my two Sentinels. I've put together the Renegade Sentinels and here are the pictures.

These were a lot of fun to piece together. I was going to equip them with the Multi-Meltas the Elysian Drop Sentinels came with, but unfortunately that's not a valid choice. Ahh well... Well then, I'll try to piece and paint other things as I'm feeling much better now, so stay tuned for more!

I have both the Gryphonne and Stygies versions of the Vanquisher. I also have a Destroyer Tank Hunter from FW, too... unfortunately, (and oddly) it says in IA5 that Renegades can only use one tank... if anyone can clarify this that would be great.

well that would certainly be sucky, only one tank? and they live on a forge world....dosent quite add up in my book.
but if it is one tank however. go for the destroyer, im sorry but those things just look too damn cool, that and reading honour guard has left me with a strong soft spot for them.

The Destroyer is built and primed, I haven't started on it yet. I still have to finish my first squad. Next up is my Ogryns and then my Command Squad, then I'll probably paint the Destroyer.

Another quick update... I now have a Basilisk and FW Dreadclaw on the way, thanks to eBay! I can't wait to use the Dreadclaw against an unsuspecting victim.... hehe. Anyhow, when I get it together I'll take pics, and it will be painted in the ongoing Death Guard scheme I have been using with my other vehicles (Rhinos, Defiler, etc...). Until next time!

Just to show everyone I haven't given up/died, here's another update. This is my WIP Ogryn Berserker. I've been spending this time coming up with a good rust scheme, and it seemed to work well. More updates will be coming soon!

Actually, here's how I did it:
After I primed this guy in Chaos Black, I basecoated him a Reaper Miniatures paint called Griffon Tan. After this, I added 2:1 Flesh Wash ink, followed by a 1:1 Brown Wash, and finally a 1:2 Black Wash. Now... After this, I usually drybrush my minis, but on his armor I didn't. I actually stippled it with GW Boltgun Metal, followed by stippling RM Volcanic Brown, then stippling GW Bestial Brown in very little quantity... After this, do a VERY light wash of GW Chestnut Ink. Chestnut Ink is amazing for rust, I will say.

Well, the first Ogryn Berserker is finished. I'm having lighting issues taking pictures of him, however, which is really too bad since he came out really good. In any case, here are some ok shots.

I took some others, you can view them on my Photobucket. They picked out individual details, but now all of them in one shot, which is frustrating.

Alright guys, I need some help... as you know, I have the two sentinels. Now, my whole Renegade Militia is mainly devoted to Nurgle (as you can see from the majority of the troops, Apostate Preachers), but there's also a big Khorne influence in my army as well (Enforcers, Orgyn to an extent)... From the get-go when I built them, I designed one Sentinel to be more Nurgle-oriented (the one w/ the 4 skulls on the side, may reduce to 3 and make the Mark of Nurgle using them), and the Khorne-oriented one (pile of skulls behind cockpit, spikes, etc. etc.).

Any suggestions on paint schemes to differentiate them? The Nurgle Sentinel will probably be rusted out and all that good stuff, but it's the Khorne Sentinel I'm having trouble with... how should I paint it? Any suggestions would be great!
