and extremely small.
nice use of tyrus for horus - however I have a thing against people making the primarchs so damned big. All they were were taller space marines really - as tall again as a space marine is to a human i suspect. Afterall, just how big can something grow in just 3 days!?! (IIRC all primarches are recorded as having taken 3 days to grow to their full height after being taken from their incubation pods).

I've got nothing against the model, which looks very promising, just the concept behind it

For a bald head you're best bet is definitely Eisenhorn. Alternatively you could buy Artemis and file off his hair.

Depends on what fluff source, and or Primarch you count on for the three days bit. Russ grew from an Infant. The Lion was foudn full grown. Sanguinius grew over the years, as did Jhagtai. Though varying fluff varies it evern further!

Also, in the most rcent books and comparisons published, it describes Garro as barely seeing the top of the abdomen area on Mortations armor, and lucius as being eye level with the claws of the Aquilla on the chest piece of Fulgrims armor.

Again, it varies from source to source really, and all comes down to person opinion. Personally, I believe truescaling (from termie parts to make power armor) w/ some =][= parts is best.

The shoulder pad is awesome. My only suggestion is to build faster Hahahah! I think this model will be outstanding, Steve.

very nice work steve! +rep from me!

(if i may suggest (not a huge prob) when you put your photo images in put a line or 2 between them so they go on top of each other versus side by side. much easier to view. imho. )

Well, another update to this monster!

1st Off THE HEAD!!!!!

yup, i decided that the others weren't doing it so i sculpted my own!!!
honestly for my first sculpt i think it is Incredible. i took a Fantasy Skeleton Skull and GS'd on it.

I really dont care what people have to say about the head, I LOVE IT!

next up:
Finished the shoulder pads.
and the wolf cloak.

this one is a little fuzzy, Sorry:

now, SIZE COMPS!!!!!

First there is a standard marine
Then Horus
Then my Convert AC of Nurgle
then a standard termie
then my convert chosen of nurgle.

AINT HE HUGE??????

as always C&C most welcome!

Coming along nicely, Steve. Keep up the good work. Also, if you like the head, that is all that matters.

I love the head, I think I might have to have a go at that too, just to see what I can do.

Looking great! I think the strands of hair could use a bit more attention, but other than that the head is amazing!

Killer model! He is quite impressive, both in modelling detail and in size.

you asked for it you go it, the head in place.
I might go a bit higher with it, but as far as i can tell he is done except for the plasticard mace flanges and painting.

I'd put the head lower in the coulter, perhaps with the eyes just over the edge? Maybe its me, but it seems a bit too high at the mo.

the tyrus model is badly proportioned for a meer human in power armour anyway, so its never going to look quite the right shape. In the case of a basic tyrus build, his chin is roughly level with the coulter

fair enough. You could use GS to bulk up the chest a little, but that would probably be too much.

fantastic work Steve- maybe make the head a little further up if it doesn't throw the position of the shoulders into doubt anatomically. In the books Horus is shown as being so huge that his armour is almost constraining him (though that may have had something to do with his overwhelming personality as well).
