He's trying to kill something the spell I assume so it'd be a little more powerful than your average nightlight... then again, I'm also assuming he's holding the charms pretty close to his face...

nice stuff! cool pose too.

will you arm any of them with chainswords/bolters or will they all just have puny knives?

like the GS on the leg, especially the gubbinzy bits that i leave out due to laziness

though if its not dry try going over it with the sculpting tool again and lots of water the get it smoother

d_c: nope they'll all have knives. being utter badases they won't need anything else and i'm gonna go over it lightly with a file to smooth it out.

ides: its the only way i could fit the oversized shoulder pad on and still get the bolter into position properly.

heres some close up shots of a few of the finer details you may have missed

this arm was cut into 4 seperate pieces before being pinned back together and gs'ed. first time i've tried this so let me know what you think. (ps i'm waiting for the gs to dry before taking a file to it to smooth it out a bit)

this is supposed to be a piece of wolf pelt wrapped around the guys arm but i'm not sure it looks right, more like a bundle of straw?!? might redo this.

can't really think of anything other than giving the GS a light sanding... a few more trophies/wolf tails hanging from shoulderpads for the sergeant maybe, but I'm unfamiliar with SW fluff...

oooh. i missed the update. i am ashamed of myself...

my fave is marine 6 - great pose.

i like how the left shoudler pads have ridges where the right one are flush with the rim. very cool.

legs should be sanded a bit, but great job - now get 'em painted before you make any more. having a unit thats finished will give you the push to make the rest

cuz of the way you truescaled them, theyre very proportioned and just look like normal marines on their own, so now theyre next to a normal marine, its great cuz you see how big they realy are!

cool stuff, and im liking the base is it gonna be urban/snow? if it is, may i suggest making the rubble very dark, so it contrasts with the wolves armour

yeah urban/snow for the base. i'll do the rubble black with a light drybrush of codex/fortress grey so its nice and contrasty with the snow.

what do y'all think about the furry bracer thing on the last detail shot? personally i think it could be better, so i might just rip it off and start again.
