waist is too small, shoulder far too wide (makes the head look like a pea), and legs too thin, but i like the overall shape and pose

and did you bend the chaos star on the chest to wrap round the shaoe or is it flat?

add grenstuff until its touching the hip plates. there quite bit of room for wideining.

or he can make the shoudlers smaller, increasing the coparative size of the waist

Because the lopsided way I chose to build the model, the shoulders wound up around 6-8 mil wider than intended, I shall endeavour to correct this with future models however.

For the star, I glued the centre of it, and then bent each of the points until it sat against the chest and glued them.

slight update. Widened the waist and gave him a semi belt. This will be further sanded once the GS sets.

experimenting with a collar...

And if I ever make a diorama, I want it to look like this.

Are the arms spaced properly though? As for the collar I'm afraid it might look slightly high.

Having thoroughly learnt my lesson with brother salvageable, I got off my ass and bought some sculpting tools, and went with the whole, less is more, theory of GSing. I also gave salvageable a furry collar.

He's still in the tidying up stages of indoctrination, but Trooper 2 has landed.

Brother Kron

Thoughts? C&C?

And I haven't even opened the real sculpting tool... But yeah, once its properly cured and set, I'll be sanding down most of it to aim for a cleaner look before I put the belt on... Still think the shoulders are a wee bit wide but since the arms are in an outstretched type pose I might get away with it...

Indeed! Looking much better! I can see the progress in each model!

Thank you, I'll be experimenting slightly with torsos to get a more chaosish look (ala here), but the above will probably be the basic template.

Perhaps ribbing the hosing on the chest, or using guitar wire?

Might try to gs arrows onto it too, or affix some kind of skull...maybe an armour of shrieking souls type thing (see link above). I already have two larger collars planned at the least so I'll see how it goes

For the arrow banding like on chaos torsos, I always found it easier to just draw the design on THIN pc and cut it out, then heat warp/bend it into place!

Careful, and I do mean CAREFUL application of heat with a butane lighter works well too.

ill second yahho with an obvious comment: good investment with the tools, you should ahve done it sooner

marine 2 is so much better than brother slavagable

and dont even try the hair dryer! wont work
easiest thing is boiling water to soften it a bit and heat over a filament lightbulb

D_C.. I've not had the occasion to do this, but what would you recommend for sanding GS on legs? I was thinking a very fine grit sand paper so the round shape was kept easily.

right... Well, my plasticard has arrived and I've set about giving them belts. For the belts I've taken the cheap way out, and just dry bent them and glued them in place, not perfect but it does the job. Will be starting on other torsos later today. As for the legs I've been using a medium grit sandpaper and just sanding off any obvious imperfections.
