not really, the average size is just another head and shoulders above the smaller TS guys. All that matters to me is that those pesky cadians will know to fear us now!

what? you mean the big truescale ones are supposed to be the same height as the smaller truscale ones? h-uh. nah. only real difference between yours and mine (aside from your better GS and uniform armour variants) is that mine are probably a bit wider at the shoulder than yours...

take it from me. yours a lot bigger than mine.

just measure one of yours.
my tallest one is is a hairsbreath under 4cm

yours are around 4.5 if not more.

and mine are bigger than propper truescale. propper truescale is what yahoo is doing and whats in my tutorial on in the STC manufactorium

your models are almost twice the height of a guardsman!

As I said, those Cadians shall quake before us, quake I say!!

But the average Truescale ones I do are as the middle one. Thandon just turned out even bigger than the other guys because I spaced his legs a wee bit too much... Though I imagine two guardsmen, with one on the other's shoulders, could give him a run for his money...

work on thandon so far, minus the backpack, which I haven't quite settled on yet. attempted a marble effect on the bolter but its not great.

I'll let it go once, but don't do so again. The double post was pushing it. However, upon review, the model loomks good, though i'd try some highlighting and washes.

I woudl color the spikes on the shoulder pad, and studding on the leg in. also might make the vertical hose on the chest a bronze too. But definitely color the spikes and studs.

spikes are highlighted codex grey and tipped with enchanted blue, which you can't make out, but I'll see what I can do about the studs. Turned out the blood red I bought the other day was actually a dark shade of orange that had been mislabelled so I might have to wait for the highlights there...

I just meant something to brign them out from the shoulder pad more. A grey base and silver shoulder makes them blend from an angle or distance, which doesn't do such an imposing figure justice.

why not make the whole of each spike blue and then extend that colour onto the pad itself, blending it into the colour of the shoulder but only around the base of the spikes.

What about doign the shoulder spikes like the ones near the shoulder on the combi-weapon arm? That would be a nice theme, and pull things together brilliantly, imo.

As it stands the breastplate is a dark mix of chaos black and boltgun metal, highlighted with chainmail at the edges, its hard to see with the light source.

I could see how that could happen. Have you though of using a desk lamp/lightsource behind your camera, with no flash? Might be better pictures. Also.. Have you thought of using a bit of GS/PC to make rimmings on the leg armor and such like most Chaos Marines? That might help them stand out a bit.
