How do they find time to kill people around all that drinking?

That aside, more of the Aspiring Sorcer, slightly more finished than he was last time, robes could still do with a once over but he's almost there. The rest of the Thousand sons are undercoated and hopefully I'll start painting those tomorrow.

lovin it except for the robes. imo the shading is what's letting you down here, there's too much contrast between the shading colour and the main tone. try a 50/50 mix of the shading colour you're using and the base colour, and use that in the recesses instead of the darker colour you have there now. that should help bring it all together.

Coming on nicely there, I think once you start on highlights it will be easier to comment, but all looks like it's in the right place at the mo!

Ok, part way through the highlighting process on these. Not sure about the grey highlights yet, but I'm keeping an open mind, I'm also divided as to whether to highlight the robes any ****her...

I'm tempted to tone the gray back down to amost black and leave the pure black in the recesses, might look better that way.

I do come with a WIP picture further to that face I posted for the weekend challenge. Thousand sons have earned their hats in battle and should be finished fairly soonish. For now though, I need to know if I'm onto something or not.

Yes they will, hopefully the same as the aspiring sorcerors robes. I'll be doing the other marine veterans in the same scheme too.

@DC: Red Corsairs? Its the same scheme as the Raptor Lord... I just ain't done the gooooooold yet.

Yes he is. I would have gotten Masters of the chapter but they weren't in the store at the time... Hopefully, once I get through these guys and the Sons I'll be starting on my Raptors, Possessed, the rest of my bikers, my chaos spawn, my three vindicators and my greater daemon. I might also repaint my landraider, we'll see how it goes.

Wow he is lovely, I think this is fantastic. I have to admit I didnt like the green eyes at all when I saw this in the weekend challenge, but I have done a U turn and I really like them now! This is a really nice mini.

Ides....I officially retract my statement about the head from the paint a face comp.....I stated that i did not like the face as it was something not right about it. I love it now. I do not know what you did to it but it is nice, the scars look like scars and the eyes are not just green blobs. great work man!!!
