Blog Entries: 1  |  i'm getting ratty my skaven WIP blog is here now! skaven were my first army and how i got into the game, and i've been slowly drifting away over the past few years, but now i'm back and re-armyizing my skaven to thier proper glory. now with the speech over, i'll get to that which completes my PPKHH part of the post, the pics! first up, my general, warlord blackknife whitepaw   now, his trusty skyre weapons (there are two rattling guns, only one of those had pics good enough for showing)    "straight down the barrel!"   now a trusty clanrat (the first of many)  and finnaly, the stormvermin banner bearer.

 | Re: i'm getting ratty Now those look pretty good there Marcus.....pretty darn good! have you thought about maybe a ink wash or black wash? I think that would do wonders for them but they are good and playable right like that!!! I really like that banner!!!

| Re: i'm getting ratty Your flash might be drownding the wash out...If they look good to you they look good to me buddy!! They do look good though and I like them. and lookin back at them the flash is bleaching the washes but you can see them....

Blog Entries: 1 | Re: i'm getting ratty thanks again munkey. i actually have 3 more storm vermin done (including champ) i have a question for you all. do you like the armor style on the commander/standard bearer? i decided to go with a "some parts bronze, some steel" sort of look, and i think it turned out okay.

 My wifes Grand mother lives in Titusville and torward the end of the year (think Halloween-Christmas time) I'll pack up and visit, and show you how a real Ratling handles Heretics...on the table. We'll do 2-3K points at your local gamestore and see how things will work out. By then I should have most of the army done and I know I could field 2-3K points by then and you can take your time and put a good paint on those "ratlings" and get them ready to DIE!!!!!...sound good?

I am hoping to revisit once my Red Corsairs, Howling Griffons and 6k dwarves are done. Just to bring it up, it mentions that the harder skaven are, the darker their fur. With Stormvermin and Chieftains having nigh on pitch black fur. So it may be worth painting fur darker if you are going for a fluffy army. If not, I like that scheme as it is unusual to have a white skaven army.
