 | Re: My Black Legion works-in-progress On my Black Armoured minis i always primed them onthe sprue with armoury black and then after i put them togetheri hit them with the GW black.The armoury Black is real dull so its good for a base coat and the GW has a little more shine to it,then i always hit them afterwards with some black Ink.But know since the Fellas here taught me about Wall Mart Black spray paint for 99cents i dont use armoury any more.This has worked for me for a while as you cansee in my LOD WIP Pics in my sig. The WM primer is awesome,you just gotta shke the ship outa it lol!

I'm thinking about trading off my bikes and going with 3 squads of Raptors. 2 main reasons. I hate building bikes. I do however, enjoy building Raptors. I like Nurgle bikers, but I think I'd be ok with 3 six-man Raptor squads. Maybe a Nurgle Raptor Squad? I have some pretty cool bits I was gonna use on the bikers anyway. Or I could do a Red Corsairs Raptor Squad, give them the SM jumpacks, like they were just turned. What do you guys think?

Maybe I'll use those Nurgle parts to build another DG tac squad, as I need to finish one anyway. That would give me two DG squads, and a Bezerker squad. Gonna keep the other 3 tac squads Black Legion though. The only problem I have with getting rid of the bikes is I use them to TB and DS my 10 man shooty termie squad. I guess Raptors could serve the same purpose, as I really don't wanna DS the termies too far from my main force.

I have played a few games with them though, and they are excellent for DS units in. The only thing that worries me is if they change the Toughness 6 rule and I use a couple of choice DG stuff on them, then they are no better than any other Bikers. I got finish my zerks first though, I have put them off for soooo long. Also thinking about making a Disc of Tzeentch (from a Bloodthirster base) for the cool metal Sorcerer I have. Still gotta add up the points cost, I want it to be a cheaper alternative to my Daemon Prince. Oh, my good pal Belial is trying to improve his GS skills, and is making me a Great Unclean One. I'll post pics when it's done, although I'll probably have to paint it *sigh*. *EDIT* Just got this one built.

Blog Entries: 1 | Re: My Black Legion works-in-progress Well, I got a Heavy Bolter CSM done for my Chosen, but I'm having a hard time aligning the arms (it's the old Havoc model, with the cool HB) I'm soaking the arms in acetone, cause I screwed up. I'll see if I can get it together tomorrow and take a pic. *EDIT* Just got this one finished. Man, I love Chosen! I'll try to get the HB one finished tonight. I have another almost finished, but am awaiting parts. Hope ya like it!
