I dunno, I just don't like that helmet as it is.. Too busy

Though, it may wind up looking great on the/a model. Stand alone, it's just bleh.

This thread scared me to start off as I wasn't sure what was going on, then I decided to read it!

Exellent idea (It has Erus written all over it!!!!!) and it's gonna be crackin when finished, can you imagine how cool all those Marines are going to look as display pieces!

My main interest is the Night Lords, I look forward to that one a lot!

i have a cool idea for the night lord - ill PM you some questions, see what you think.

the basic work on the iron hand (bionics and all covnerting work) is done - now onto the Green Stuff. think along the line sof the GW techpriest, without the ahrness, and you wont be going too far wrong

I have ideas with the night lords too... But I think the bionic head is nice too (the helmet is just fugly from my point of view), maybe if you clipped off the cogwheel and targetter...I'll see what that looks like with my own one.

as always i cant keep the camera switched off for more than a few days at a time so:

armour will cover the front of the shin, though the leg is otherwise ready. C&C?

I really like it- it seems to have the sophistication to perform range of motions whilst at the same time being bulky and robust enough to be worn by an Astartes.

ok! so my hard work wasnt wasted - ive since added some more green stuff - turning one or two more pipes into pistons.

ive finished the shin guard, in true adeptus mechanicus style, with strange banding, though it was a female dog to get done, and im dreading trying to make an identical one for the other side! but if i get that done, the chest should be a doddle (fingers crossed)

Great! Love the detail you put into the joints, especially the ankle! You're going to paint the bionics metal, right? IMO that looks great with the Iron Hand's black power armor.

You're going to put all the finished products into a separate thread? They deserve a sticky in the marines forum or some kind of showcase forum!

Actually...we have a lot of great WIPs here a show case forum would be nice (unless there is one and I'm completely unaware)

yep, but im thinking if i should make some of the armour red. two reasons: 1) i hate painting black armour. 2) hes going to have a lot of heavy Ad mech details on the armour, not too dissimilar to the proper techmarine model. maybe ill paint the shins, and chest red and the rest a vaguely rusted black.

thats what im saying - the model IS a techmarine, though im not sure what colours to use. i dont think th red will be very forgiving to my sub-par sculpting abilities. we'll see.
