Hey brutal is a lie......Very nice and i like the colors
for games day i would like to see more detail on the plasma gun and missle launcher. If you can make everything like that skull and grenade, you will be a contender for sure!!

now can i paint like this?? no so take my advice with salt.

Thanks. Yeah my whole armies weapon locker is a boring black. I have to think of something to spice them up but not be too busy. That is the most awesomest avatar.

cool I know its a WIP (i can see...) and I know also the weapons were not finished. I meant was more details like painted freehand and maybe some "glow" effects from the plasma.

I am putting this as a preemptive strike for some who might say "well hes not done!!"

Oh, brutally honest! I think they look really cool! Only thing that needs work is the weapons. Maybe you could add some of those cool painting glow effects that Hairy did a tutorial on.

Nice start on the first mini. The flesh tones are very well blended as well as the armour and the skull. I am curious to see what you have planned for the base. As far as the plasma pistol, I agree with Monkey, that it just seems a bit lacking, like a green glow or that effect. I also love the small detail on the headband and grenade. Very nice mini.

I will see you @ GD as I plan on attending with my Plague Zombie marine army.

i really like the flesh tones. maybe add something to the area where the bionics meet the skin, like bruising or something to suggest that having that metal arm isn't the most comfortable experience in the world

well, aside from what has been said, i ask this, how much bionics will you be using in this squad?

then i say this: if it were me, i'd add some rust (use a brown drybrush followed by a LIGHT red drybrus) to the bionics.

I've got an example somewhere. i'll post up a pic later.

I never really put stuff up before because I only yesterday discovered photobucket. The bruising I have techniques for and will do. I'd like to take a look at the rusting/antiquating on the bionics and I need help getting a subdued energy effect on the plasma. I love bionics but it is hard to find models that have them. The rest of the squad is going to be old Orlock gangers I haven't picked exactly which ones yet.

Here is an update. New guy. I call him Cortez because of his swarthy Latin looks. I added bruising around the bionics and washed the bionics in tin bits then brightened up the outside areas. I painted some warning marks on the Missile Launcher and did a blue coil for the plasma pistol. The blue isn't as glowy as it was after I put wash on it and I might have to brighten it up.
