W.I.P My Eldar Army - 40K Terra

Well im hoping to have at least 1500 points done by the end of august....but here is what i have so far, i will update till my army is finished (so always!)

Farseer

Guardian Squad 1 (I need a heavy weapon platform..)

Dire Avenger Squad 1

Wave Serpant 1

lol i had help with the Troops my friend dry brushed well i did all the other stuff, since we wanted to get them done to see the result just encase it destroyed half the army....i really like how my tank is coming tho, im not 100% sure where to put the black on my wave serpent...maybe between the cracks?

i always paint the black first
and work around the cracks
but since you did the opposite you can fix that with some masking tape
tape around the cracks only exposing the inner parts
(the parts you want black)
then pain the black
then let it dry
then remove tape
that should fix your problem with minimal mess
then you can paint around them

or you could go with a wash and let the exess run into the cracks
which would make them darker

Eh i dont think tape is a good idea....i was thinking of just useing a fine detail brush and takeing my time, then runing a black wash or ink through,

I suggest Black Wash for the cracks

lol ill post an updated pic of the Serpent tomorrow, i did the black lines in it...and repainted the weapons to black not to mention added some little dark red gems on its fins.

It's looking pretty good so far, man. It's amazing how you can go so fast on your painting - you're already on your third army.

It really does look promising. However, I do have one little worry - why did you paint the exhausts green as well? I would suggest you cover the ribs of the exhaust in black, definitely.

I do like how [the leader of the squad, I guess] is holding a skull. Adds a bit of flair to an otherwise uniform squad.

grab up some badab black and/or devlan mud wash... you can make a single pot stretch out pretty good. for example, at our sunday night staff meeting i used up roughly half a pot of wash doing;
- 10 man CSM squad
- 6 man Chosen squad
- 5 terminators
only half a pot is pretty damn good for all of that!

our manager got;
- 20 bloodletters
- 3 bloodcrushers
- 5 flesh hounds
- karanak
out of a single pot of baal red and he did about 3 coats of it on each model!!!

new washes are godsends!

Well i have added the black, im not sure what other color to add to the guns yet and i have also Added some red gore on the upper "gem" shaped area's of the tank what do you guys think?

Looks good Vlad. I used to us white primer, but black is so much better yes you have to layer to get your disired colors but it turns out so much better. Plus its alot easyer to fix green/blue smudge on black than it is to fix a black smudge on green/blue, and you already have your depth with your primer.

Looking good though bud, keep the assembly line going. And MORE pics

lol they are spose to be shinny and its mostly to tick off the gw staff, plus its my first tank of any sort....but its really the Transport for the eldar lol im airbrushing my fire prisms..

coming along nicely vlad

the paint seems a little slpotchy (technical term)
you might want to try to go over the main body to get a more even and uniform thickness on the paint

the red on the green really sticks out nicely

The Sploch is almost impossible to fix.....with eldar tanks at least hence why im air brushing it next time to stop the problem at its root.

The "splotchy" might be more noticable becouse of the white primer,it has a tendancy to do that especially to other lighter colours when you dont layer.
