I think it's a Halo reference. The Spartan in the game was number 117.

o yeah on your question about spartan as a name, i grew up with it, and hav similar qualities to a spartan. others who call themselves that probably refer to halo.

I have seen wall paper on GW (Tau..d'uh) with a scenic shot of their cities.
I believe its sort of a light blueish colour)
