Blog Entries: 4 |  What is the Book of Names! The book of names is a collection of the names used in the 40K universe. These are listed in various catagories-Normaly the under the heading of a Chapter/Regiment?organisation to which that name can be attributed ie: "The Ultramarines" This aims to provide a comprehensive list names for use by everyone whether you want to know the names of the captains of the Blood Angels Companies or want to name all the figures in all your squads. Its a resource for all. The names are obtained from all available sources (White Dwarf, Codex's,Books etc). The source material for each name will be coded next to it and a key will be put on each page. If the list is for a personal Chapter or Regiment the creators name will be credited at the foot of the list. Last edited by Perturabo; 02-03-2007 at 02:01 PM. |

| cool idea! so does this mean that we're all of to look up every name ever mentioned in various books/codices and such?! if so, i'll have to start some lists... cheers!

Blog Entries: 4 | Ive already been researching this one for a whille-The squad names threads started me on this!!! Ive ammassed alot of data on Marines and Imperial Guard already, for example Ive got a Chapter breakdown of the Ultramarines Chapter by company with hundreds of names,squads and vehicles on it! Over the next few days Ill start posting up what Ive got and then we can start adding more information from there! Im hoping to run this in the same format as the Librarium with an index at the top with clickable links to each Chapter/Regiment or Race I also hope to include peoples own Chapters and Regiments if they have sufficient data to give a decent article |

Dig out those names and PM them to me (with who they are what they do etc-if its available) so we can start getting more info in this section as it will eventualy tie into the Librarium project! |

| Conscript | great idea. none too easy though... ill get cracking after work  also, i was wondering if thers a place in the librarium for a list of 40k terms and their real-word sources. a recent thread got me thinking about this, and i think its very intersting to know what comes from where, which adds (imho) another layer to all the 40k terms we know and love. any thoughts? |
