Advertisers - *** Chat - 40K Terra

I just want to know why we have an ad for G*Y Chat on the top of our site. Some of us take offense to such ads on our COMMUNITY site. My kids use this site. You need money? I paid for 4 months Lodge, with no response so far. Where is my user name? Why should I pay for more, when I'm accosted by ads for g*y sites. Sorry if I offend anyone. Oh well.

Meh. I don't care about the sexuality of our ads, I just don't really like porn site ads in general. It annoys the crap out of me to see "Come chat with sexy singles TODAY!" at the top of the page every time I log in. There have to be other advertisers out there...

But whatever. If its necessary, its necessary.

There is a lesbian and straight ad of the same sort too......Its just a bit odd. Takes away from this site's credibility in my opinion. Our ads should be classy...or at least not trashy.

I will take out hte ads, I DO NOT KNOW WHY, they are showing up, and we do not control these ads, they are google ads.

But yeah what there is now isn't good. Hopefully try to find some good ones? Or sites that allow you to choose a category

Is there no way you can get some kind of filter for xxx google ads, I dont know my self but they do filter search's on preferences?

my problem with it is this - how many *** and (more importantly) lesbian people use 40k terra?

i think its way out of place here, as well as being potentially offensive to some people. in general i think singles ads (while being ironic, considering the rep many gamers have...) are not the type of ads needed on a gaming forum

it could be worse. look at the ads on cmon, they're much more provocative and/or intrusive. the ones we get might be for dating agencies but at least the people in them are mostly clothed!

I might suggest contacting Vallejo Paints, Gale Force 9, etc. etc. for advertising. We are getting to the point where we are almost over the 1000 member club and close to 100,000 threads, that has to count for something.

i never really paid attention to the ads till i read this thread
it really doesnt matter what type of ad is on there to me
and if a current member chooses to use those site then
good for them
it helped them and they helped the site by clicking on it
i never thought of you guys/gals on this site and considered your "orientation"
its a non issue to me

Hey Ikky, are these adds the kind of thing that you can add to a website like blogspot? Some special thing that just generates adds from google and you can't do a thing about what adds it chooses?
